Took me ages to find this thread! Really wanted to say Hello to all, joined a while ago, but have just been watching the threads and not really commenting. Thought I'd better introduce myself :D
I'm Shelly and come from the UK. Been a Meat Loaf fan since I was the tender age of 15 (won't disclose my age as I am a lady!)
First saw the main man in concert in 1996 on the 'Born to Rock Tour' which was totally awesome!
Haven't managed to see him again as after getting married (and unfortunately my OH is not very enthusiastic as I am about Meat!), living abroad for a couple years, relocating back to the UK and then having a couple of kiddies, funds and time was always short! Really, really hoping that he tours in the UK this or next year as I have plans to see him and the band perform again!! :D
Looking forward to making like minded Meat friends and chatting Meat Loaf ;)

Hello everyone!
My first ever Meat Loaf show will be this Friday at the Mystic Lake Casino/Hotel with my friends. I hope the new DVD is on sale at the show, as I would wrap that sucker up in a heart beat!
It's nice to "meet" you all and to "see" you all too. Is anyone else here going to the MN show?

Hello:))) I am a massive Meat Loaf fan who has followed him for 30 years. Believe it or not (life got in the way) I have only seen him live just the once. I have been a member here for years but mainly stuck to the American fan club forums before it closed as I never felt experienced enough with concerts etc to post here though I do read or 'lurk' on occasion and know one or two people. Everyone is so close and friendly here that it is hard to kind of jump into a group. But I am jumping in now. I am looking to befriend fellow fans and also to encourage fellow lurkers who are too shy to join in too. There is a lot of division going on in Meat's Facebook page and I feel he needs some more support here. I am nervous posting but I love Meat Loaf's music and want to chat to other fans:-)

Nice to meet you. Hope you have fun here :-)
Sorry this feels strange being redirected, and Flying Mouse, I'm not offended lol but thought my post had been deleted. Yes, you are right, 6 yrs does feel a bit long, you're right, but like I said it's because I only went to one concert and I barely visit. I think I should delete my account:( It was only a shy thing, not nosiness!!! Thank you to the welcome posts but I kind of feel a bit stupid now...I felt intimidated before and I still do now. Thank you Adje, BostonAngel and robgomm for your welcomes though:)
Flying Mouse, I'm not going to keep my account, I'll just keep Meat's music. The members are awesome here thanks so much to them!!!xxx Flying mouse, next time, maybe think about the person posting. You must have checked my account to know I'd been there 6 yrs, that is awful to look and decide before welcoming a fan. I never really come in here and never dared post but I am scared to talk to you if you moderate this place :(
Always nice to see new members post here, even if they've lurked for a while, now you've taken the plunge you might as well stay! :))
Sebastian.

It says your join date on you bio at the side when you post. He was making a joke.
TFM is one of the best people around here, all he did was merge your post....
Anyway welcome!
Sorry my mistake, I didn't realise. I don't actually 'lurk' just that I joined a while ago. Nice to meet you all thanks for the welcomes:)
Welcome Angi, glad to have you here.

Hi all, well been and long time, Thank you to Monstro And Andy for letting me back on; let the just say Sorry to anyone I offended or upset, i guess loads of people lost their trust in me!!!.. understandably... For me being back is kinda a godsend... I have depression and been on loads of tablets, although latter the tablets don't seem to be working (one day they'll get it right), my psychologist had gave me all this rubbish and cds to listen too to calm me, didnt work, did diaries and stuff... in the end, she discharged me saying theirs nothing wrong with me (funny why am I on anti depressions tablets then and have been for nearly five years), anyway, Mandy (my wife is fine) and Laurieann is great (she's 4 this year).. me, Still work at Argos, put dont go much on the customer service side as I get stressed and make mistakes.. so i'm upstairs and make mistakes instead (not really!!!). Whats major has happen well last year on our 1st wedding anniversary I was out walking with my dad, and I fell 25ft from the cliff (could of been worse as 200ft drop, but I managed to grab hold of something), didnt need emergency services, I was dazed, and climbed back up... my dad asked me if I wanted to continue.. we'd already done 6 miles... so We continued... but, I drove 50 miles home in pain as (ribs hurt like a ~~~~~~, and couldnt really moved my right foot, guess strained the tendon) with my dad in the passenger seat.. I hid the fact I was in pain, dropped my dad off, mandy didnt tell me off she was concerned... took some parcetmols and went to bed, went to A&E, next day, yep three bruised ribs and strained tendon..... anyway ok now... anyway been boring you for a while now, its good to be back... yes going to see meat at nottingham for the last time, reason I thought I d go is because I'll regret it if I dont... anyway hello again

Hello all :D
New member but long time Meat Loaf fan. In fact the first concert I ever went to was Meat Loaf in Newcastle in 1996.
Snap - The Born To Rock World tour, which was also my first concert at the Metro Arena. Forever in my memory for three reason 1) the Bass drum feeling like it was going to pound my heart into a different beat, 2) My dad almost bouncing the seats off the floor as he seemed to play his own set of invisible drums, 3) and a bloke behind us bellowing "GET THE MEAT OUT!" at the end of every song. I still to this day assume he was talking about the man himself, but I never did dare turn around just in case.
Oh, also I remember Meat telling someone to get the f out of the arena for not knowing the words to Took the Words Right Out Of My Mouth. And I think that was the show that someone randomly shouted out Ricky Lake during the On A Hot Summer Night speech, to which Meat responded "Ricky Lake? What Does Ricky Lake have to do with this? Does Ricky Lake love you? Yes. Would Ricky Lake starve without you? No f-ing way. Ricky Lake probably wasn't even born when we recorded this."
Funny the things that stick in your mind for twenty years.

I'm literally LOL-ing - I had forgotten all about that!
