Dance In My Pants (9)

Very good and funny song. Have you ever seen the video?
It would be a copy of "Paradise".

Bad For Good = Bat Out Of Hell
Dance In My Pants = Paradise
Left In The Dark = For Crying Out Loud
Lost Boys And Golden Girls = Heaven Can Wait

Karal de Vito is amazing in this song. It's a little bit dancer than Paradise cause the speech is shorter. I think the remix is much better, very good disco song!!!

My score: 9 (original), 10 (remix)

Very good song. I think the Meat version is better. More power.

My Jim score: 8
My Meat score: 9

What remix? Who remix? Remix?? I have a single edit, but no remix... tell me more, tell me more!

PLEEEEEEASE put it on Bat 3!!

Please don't. I'd prefer a new song.

Definitly not my favorite on BFG. The laughing bit near the end makes me actually reach for the skip button... horrible.

7/10

Did Meatloaf sing a version of this song? Why have I never heard it if he has?

I think it's a great song :!: I'd give it 9/0. And I don't agree evil nickname; I like the laughing bit.

Meat did it live on the '88 Lost Boys and Golden Girls tour. No official recordings available.

And for disagreeing: good for you that you like it. I don't :)

Fair enough.

Shame about the no recordings. It'd be really great to hear Meat do it.

i only know the Album version on BFG, somehow i have the feeling this song is missing something.

first part is great but i don't like the final
if you would compare this song to Paradise than i choose for the last one

This is a typical Steinman song. On christmas eve i put this song on and my parents in law immediately knew it had something to do with Meat Loaf. In fact hte song is great. The first versus are so much lyrics and she sings it so fast. Thats Steinman and i love it. But later on it is just a simple effort to copy Paradise an thats a shame. Though i love it. And i hate it. So i like the beginning and i also love the ending: the last verse Carla is singing, i lover those lyrics and than Dancing on the edge of a grave. Thats great, but very familiar with the ending of paradise.
So because its (almost) a magnificent song i give 9/10
but because there is only 1 Paradise i give it a 3/10.
because Jim's vocals suck a lot: 6/10

So the average is 6/10.

It's a fantastic feel good song, one of those tracks that I can always guarantee to listen to with a smile on my face.

Both Jim and Meats versions get a 9/10 for me.

You can find it on Jim Steinman's "Bad For Good". Pretty rare where I live, I am personally looking for that and others.

Evil, I agree - the laughing is a bit weird - I really dont like that. Otherwise, this song rocks.

My idea for Bat 3 - 1 disc of all new songs, and 1 disc of Steinsongs that Meat should have sung. By my reckoning, Meat should "cover" this song (although any song that Meat sings become HIS) for the 2nd disc!
