Fantastic tribute to a one-of-a-kind singer/entertainer who died so early. He would have found a way to be on top at an older age if that had been his destiny; but, sadly, it was not. Future generations will learn about him through the records and videos of Queen and of Freddie himself - just as you did. Fifteen years?! Gone by way too fast.

Doesn't seem like 15 years ago that I was driving from Harrogate to Preston at 7am on a Monday morning and heard Simon Mayo break the news on Radio 1. A sad day, and a man who will never be forgotten.

We were at primary school and doing Queen songs for the end of year concert. Mrs B the music teacher who was a massive queen fan told us. Really doesn't seem like 15 years since.

The last song Freddie wrote. If you ever go to Montreux you will understand and appreciate every single word of this song...

It's bliss.

One of the best singers and probably the best performer EVER imo!

WOW, never heard that Queen song "In my Defense". Incredible stuff yet again!

15 years, how time flies....

"In My Defence" wasn't a Queen song. It was one of Freddie's solo's. It does sound a lot like Queen though. I think Brian's mentioned that on his website actually; about him feeling hurt that Freddie wouldn't allow any of the band to help him with his solo stuff, yet he chose a guitarist who has an almost identicle sound to Brian to play.

But it is such a beautiful song. It reminds me so much of being in Montreux by the statue! Nice memories :-)
