Meat Loaf took the stage at about 12:35 singing Paradise By The Dashboard Light. I mean he did the really really quick version I swear it was about 2 minutes long. After it was on my little sister was watching at a friend house called me up and said "What was that?". My sister was like Oh My God! It is like a father and daughter doing the song. She couldn't believe it plus she had to vent to me since none of her friends know who ML is. So anyway It was good and funny (but again wish it was Patti & Yes I know Patti's not comming back). All I got to say is Wish it was longer, Wish it didn't seem to fly by so quick, and Thought the jerseys was a great touch. At 1:28 ML went on to do Anyhing for Love but it was 3 minutes and the duet at the end of the song. Also caught the tail end of Blid as a Bat as well What I seen ML Did a great job. So ML didn't do the full songs probaby ABC had him edit them down. I don't know, your all are going to rip on me for this. So anyway what did you all think of it?

First song- Paradise- good. not great but good. It brought back memories for people who havn't seen him in a while. Aspin - Lookin fine!

second- anything- Not as good as i hoped. If you saw the today show take that performance down about a step. I though today show was great though

Third- Blind as a bat- WOW i really liked it live. people will remember that song, and hopefully buy it. the only problem was he didnt sing close enough to the mike at some points andit didnt pick him up! his performance was great and he got the loudest aplause - louder than paradise and anything, i bet cause its a more modern song. Very good.

Its two am here. Sorry if this isnt tooo specific but im tired!
HAppy new year

All three songs were edited to the bone; I imagine the extent of those edits probably bothered Meat a lot, but he handled it very well. The editing did keep the most recognizable parts of all three songs intact.
I thought Meat went ahead and emphasized even more than he usually does the dramatics of all three songs. He didn't have time to slowly sink into each song as much as he likes to, so he seemed deeply focused before he began and put himself right into the heavy parts - when he started singing especially AFL and BAAB, he was already deep in, and tuning out the noise from the audience.
He sounded great, especially in BAAB.
The show's emphasis on HipHop/Rap and very modern rock is the reason why I usually go to bed right after the ball drops. Meat was the only reason why I stuck with it this year. But Natasha Bedington was good also and outside of the HipHop/Rap, as was Christina Aguilera.

Same Here if it wasn't for ML I wouldn't have watched it....last time I watched the show was when they had KISS on there.
