Oh My God!!!!! What did I do! Youtube says my account has been disabled or suspened? I mean I don't have anything offensive on there and the videos I have used true they came from ROL but I asked. Same with Surf's Up from Puddings site I asked. The Pelts video was not offensive and showed no nudity. What Pricks!!!!! I am a nice Little youtuber I agree to all there rules and all but this is to far. I am going to see what is going to happen in the days comeing if I get my account back then I will be happy if not I will repost Getting away, Surf Up's, BAAB, Billy Idol Videos, and more. Has anyone had this happen to them?

I agree it's probably something to do with copyright. I was looking at Stephen Lynch video's and alot of them have been removed for that reason.

Sad Really.....Man Meatgrl We have been robbed! I liked your videos.....wonder if they are going after everyone who put up videos, tv shows, etc.... I don't get youtube cause I seen a kid pop a boyal on his face and that was ok. and it was gross. Youtube sucks I guess i'll just put up few of my videos on Myspace thats where BAAB Pelts is at and thats safe cause someone put up a few of the killing scenes on there.

Just heard a rumour that Google/Youtube is planning to make a deal with the music companies to put ALL MUSIC VIDEOS EVER MADE up on youtube. Maybe thatīs the reason why there deleting all music videos they can find,,,
But banning the member...I dont know...

Hardly. It's a free service and they've withdrawn it from you. I don't happen to agree with what they've done, but they've been under pressure from Viacom to remove videos to which Viacom owns the copyright. Viacom's position (again, I don't agree with it) is that those uploading these videos were doing the robbing.

Whether you like it or not here's an extract form the YouTube Terms Of Use (http://www.youtube.com/t/terms), which anyone signing up for an account on that site has ot agree to ...
...you further agree that you will not: (i) submit material that is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material
...YouTube may remove such User Submissions and/or terminate a User's access for uploading such material in violation of these Terms of Service at any time, without prior notice and at its sole discretion.

ok this 'rumour' had me intrigued so i tried searching several artists and tried viewing their music vids, all we successful plus Meat's vids. So then i thought maybe its something Meat's company have objected to but you two guys are the only ones i can find that have been suspended.
It is a shame as both of you guys have great stuff and i cant really remember you guys having anything different to anyone else  but as Andy points out their conditions are clear

True but they should have sent me a email and I would have removed them all. I just hate how they are doing this.
No they shouldn't, it says "without prior notice" ... you should have known what they were entitled to do. End of the day it's a free service you've been using, they've done nothing wrong in withdrawing your access to it.

Faulty logic Batman. Just because they haven't withdrawn something yet doesn't mean they won't. See http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/02/12/myspace_video_blocking_filter/

Under videos it say Upload and thats where you upload your videos
It makes perfect sense to remove the clips.
Google have got a court order from Viacom demanding the removal of over 100,000 copyrighted clips. Other media companies will either follow suit through the courts or make it part of the conditions in the deals they are looking to sign for distributing legal content on there.
As for asking permission, take for example the surfs up video mentioned in the first post. I presume from the first post that someone asked pudding for permission, however copyright is owned by someone like SonyBMG and I can't see them giving permission to allow it.

Well first it started with Napster and music now they are taking videos....True you can DL most of them off of limewire but still what's next after this????? Photo's???
Suppose if it's not copyrighted or offensive in any way, shape or form it's ok to post. ???

Yes, providing there is no copyright, you own the copyright or the copyright holder has given permission then you cna post it.

No, first it started with people illegally distributing things they were not entitled to distribute. Would you walk into a record store/video store and pick up a CD/DVD, put it in your pocket and walk off with it? It is exactly the same.

Sad thing there are worst things on here the net then copyrighted music, videos, photo, you can type anything.com and get some wierd web sites. As far as bootlegs cds, videos, dvd, etc. You can go to anywhere and find that on any street here in Flint. Plus who hasn't made copys of dvds on vhs. I have and thats cause my grandparents wanted ray and pearl harbor on tape and i was givin' the movies and did it I just don't sell anything. Only reason why they cracked down on music is cause metallica went after napster and music dl. Videos is now Viacom and Youtube & Myspace are going to be cracking down, articles in the paper. I understand the laws and read copyrights and know people have the copyrights of there own pics and artwork, etc.

 False logic.
The police (I dare say) do not sit around on PC's all day looking on youtube for copyrighted material.
But if the owner of copyrighted material comes across said material posted for free on the net without prior agreement and concent with that copyright holder, they that holder has a legal right to demand that the material is withdrawn.
Now let's be realistic here, a LOT of what is posted on youtube is copyrighted material, and posted by somebody with no legal right to do so.
Most of the legal copyrighters will never know it's up there.
Some of them know and just don't care.
But some of them see their legal property being shared openly for free and decide "that is mine, I might want to use that one day to make money", they'll send a cease and disist notice to youtube, and if that vid is not removed, YOUTUBE WILL BE PROSECUTED.
I know it's not a real crime, or a serious crime, but it is a crime, and where lawyers are involved, and money to be made, spitting on the sidewalk is a capital offence.
