I love hamsters!!
Used to always have one since many years.
But unfortunately the last hamster I had died 3/4 years ago.

This dog has the cutest most soulful eyes I've seen...

Scrabble is a good match for my Corky...

The first photo is my cat, Handsome, half Russian Blue, half Persian, who came to me one day at a feline soup kitchen I was running in my back yard about 8 years ago. Last time at the scales, he weighed 24 pounds! The cat below knows very well how much he weighs - he sat on her one day in retaliation for her spitting in his face.

This beauty is the house cat, Flaquita, who came into the yard one day, and decided to adopt one of my housemates. She was taken to the vet for shots, etc., and was discovered to be pregnant! So 4 abortions, a hysterectomy, age estimate at less than one year, and $700+ later, she became a house fixture. She's a charming, very feisty alley cat who can charm her way into anyone she chooses, except Handsome if she spits in his face.

You might have to consider putting him into a crate when nobody is home. It is not cruel when you're trying to protect him from himself.

My cousin put a dog into kennel (not for the first time) for a weekend. Dog was chewing on the bars cut his mouth and died...god forbid for anybody's dog...so...maybe they are not as smart as we think they are...

His name is Meka and he's a 5 year old Bengal. He's had a bit of a sad history but we've had him for 3 months now and he's settling in very well. He's very affectionate but also extremely demanding. He follows me everywhere, as Bengals do, and talks non-stop. Bengals have more vocal cords than other cats so they make more sounds. Besides a very loud miaow it's amusing to hear Meka chirp and warble.

Patch is about 2 1/2 we think but she still plays like a puppy! She was supposed to be a short legged Jack Russell but she's quite tall and skinny so we think she's a bit of something else too but we don't know what. We got her from an Irish man in Stanmore in North West London - do you know it?

Took 3 pics before they full awoke. So far they haven't done anything close like that since. Binx and Buddy are partners in crime the dog asks to go outside the dog takes his time the cat sneaks down stairs. Just like the cat scratchs at my door and here they both come, plus they wrestle all the time. The cat loves chewing on the dogs ears, and pouncing on him. It's just weird to watch cause we never had a dog and cat do some of the stuff they get away with.

Actually Buddy is a stray, whoever had the dog abused him since he is affraid of everything. Plus he is missing one side of his teeth on his top jaw, he has alot of scars on his face & body were he has been in a good dog fight. So to see him playing is always good, and hate hates rubber toys and like the plush ones cause he tears them all up.

Don't be fooled by the innocent look. He's one mean hunter and is always bringing "presents" home for us. And yes his paws really are as big as they look .... enormous in fact with incredibly long, sharp claws! :shock:

He had really bad behavioural problems when we had him from a rescue centre just over a year ago. I had the bites and scratches to prove it! He could be very affectionate but would also launch really ferocious attacks for no apparent reason. It's taken a lot of TLC and patience but he's calmed down a lot and is making a lovely pet.

He's a lot more like a dog than a cat. He brings his toys to us when he wants to play and his favourite thing is to leap in the car to go for a ride. He happily sits on the parcel shelf or on the front seat with his paws on the dashboard so he can look out the window. Can honestly say we've never had a cat anything like this one before!

Aw Diane hes lovely! We had a tabby called Sparky she was a funny old thing. She past away 3 years ago and she is still missed. Emma and I have just talked Steve into letting us get a kitten so hopefully later after the summer hols I will have pics to share also!

What pets/animals do you have ( a lover tied up to the bed does not count)

I have a budgie (had 2) 2 fish, 6 african snails (may I add these are all my partners, who works for the RSPCA)
And a Cat (who is adorable) called Baby (I hate that name, I wanted Hendrix)

I never liked cats until we got one, she is so loving, she sits on my shoulders of a evening and rubs her face against my beard and purrs happily, and content. She will sit next to me for hours, asleep. Then when I try to sleep after working a late gig, she decides its playtime when my partner gets up at 6am for work....grrrr, attacks my feet and toes, fingers, hands...sniffs my face, then after 5 mins will curl up at the side, or even ontop of me, and doze away.

I still want a dog though.

We've got five goldfish called Cyan, Kai, Kipper, Fingers and Meat.

As kids we always wanted pets but the only pets we were ever allowed were fish. Cyan was one of the first fish we bought 14 years ago. Like a lot of people we have had fish that haven't lived all that long so it surprises us when we realise how old Cyan actually is. Kai is about 9 years old but the other three are all less than a year old.

Knowing she was sick doesn't make it any easier today. I said goodbye to my friend and sent her to a better place. Seeing this healthy picture of her makes me realize that I made the right decision. All the tears are selfish but still they flow freely. Willow ~ you will be missed. :(

I have tons of critters but this one in particular has to be mentioned. Her name is Pearl (You only get one guess who she's named after ;) ). She's the first critter I've named after an actual person (named many after fictional characters)

Well, the real reason I'm singling her out at this time is to show how much trouble she is. Kept hearing meowing coming from the kitchen. Thought she was under the dishwasher or got behind the fridge. Took a few for the brain cells to kick in but the little sh** was INSIDE THE FRIDGE!

In the moment that my 8 year old opened it to put the milk away, she jumped in unnoticed.

We also have other cats, a rat and our own flock of birds.

Clipper Howard
20th August 1985 - 4th Febuary 1993

This is my little brother Clipper.
He was born on my 9th birthday, and died 20 years ago today after his vet, Dr Randal, did everything he could to cure him of his last illness.
He was 7 years old.
He looks cute in his picture doesn't he? But he was a bad tempered little sod lol.
I can't count how many times that little ~~~~~~ went for me, and how many times my dad would have had him put down for it.
His nemisis (he's the only Westie in recorded history to have a nemisis lol) was the biggest baddest Rottweiler in the neighbourhood.
He was a lion in a Westies body.
Don't get me wrong, i'd never let Scoobie Doo turn out like him, but I loved that little guy like only a boy can love his first dog.
He could be playful and loving too.
I remember the hours me and John played Piggy In The Middle, and poor Clipps was always the one who had to play the piggy.
He was very protective of my mum, and we always used to play fight if I pretended to hit my mum.
I love you Clipps, I miss you :(

This is ROUGH. We've had him since 2006. He is a laid back cat. He'll sit on anybody's lap. But he can be territorial of his yard. At times I've seen him break up cat fights in the parking lot. He's a cool guy. :cool:
