We are using this forum to collect and display newsfeeds (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsfeed). The user RSSRobot (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/member.php?u=151) is a simple alias for a cron job, that periodically checks RSS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS) news sources (meatloaf.net only for the time being). If a new item is found, RSSRobot starts a new thread and posts the collected item. This new thread pops up in your unread/new post list, giving you
the chance to actually realise that there is a new news item at the news source and
the ability to disuss this news item here for a limited time.
If you don't like a particular news item, please don't shoot the messenger, he doesn't care anyway. :p
