Why whats the matter Emma, are you ok?

MeatGrl1 12 Mar 2008 21:56

Few days ago, mum, dad and I sat down to do this on-line application for M&S, it brought up the form I did what, 5-6 years-ago and after going through it a million times and ajusting as we saw fit and all that, it was ready to be submitted and then we noticed that mum had lost connection on her lap top and dad was like, 'Hit send and see what happens !' Reluctantly mum did that and we got an error message. When we got back on-line we tried to retreive it only the damn thing submitted the one I did 5-6 years-ago and once again I got a rejection notice in my inbox, not fair considering we lost connection. The next day I went and spoke to someone at the job centre and she was very sympathetic and stuff, then tonight I thought I'd try again and I get this message;

Applying online

Unfortunatly your application cannot be progressed at this stage as
six months has not elapsed since you made your last application on
10/03/2008 for this role.
Couldn't believe it !! So I'll take that with me to the open day tomorrow and see if I can explain to M&S what happened and if there was some way around this.

And this is why I am gutted and feel like crying :( !!

Battybarb 12 Mar 2008 22:00

Hope you get on ok at open day tomorrow, will keep fingers crossed for you

Open house or not open house you have to go in person now and explain the situation. In any event, if I assume correctly that this is a job application it's always a good idea to go in person (I think)

MeatGrl1 12 Mar 2008 22:10

Zina,

M&S specifically want you to apply on-line they don't do it if you go in, however there is an open day for the new store opening near me so will tell them this tomorrow, hope that helps ;).

Battybarb 12 Mar 2008 22:10

Thats the trouble with doing everything online,no personel contact, things can get very
confused

MeatGrl1 12 Mar 2008 22:12

Ain't that the truth :roll: !!
