He was good and I enjoyed the show but I didn't get that 'wow' feeling that I was hoping to get from seeing someone I've liked for so long. I'll admit that the best concert I've ever been to was on my mind and I kept thinking that Neil wasn't capturing my attention like a certain someone did.

The same thing happened to me when I saw Huey Lewis on July 19th, the night after I had seen Meat at the Count Basie Theatre. I used to get that 'wow' feeling from them, but it actually a little bit of a let down after the amazing concert the night before

The last concert I saw was my first ever concert and that was Meat in Birmingham last December!!! Freakin awesome!!!

Chicago, they were phenomenal, the sound was beyond anything I've ever heard in a live concert (I've not seen Meat in concert). It was a semi-small outdoor venue and they were awesome.

Around the same time I saw Crosby, Stills and Nash, who haven't changed in years, they sounded fabulous.

MEAT LOAF

4/29/11, American Theatre, Lancaster, PA

I've seen Meat before (just twice), and plenty of others over the years, and that show was HANDS DOWN, the absolute best! :cheer:

My last concert was Kenny Rogers in July ... I was supposed to see Weird Al and Steve Miller Band in October, but it was bad timing and I didn't make it to either one. C'est la vie .. there's always the next time :-)

My last show (parish fair) was Niel McCoy and Tod Hernden-Oct. 16, 11.

My last show (NO arena) was Def Leppard and Heart-Sept. 20, 2011.

My last show (stadium) was the best ever, Meat Loaf-Sept. 1, 2011.

 Jo and I saw Bill Bailey at the Liverpool Echo Arena last night.
Great view from the front row

Highlights of the night were when Bill performed Hallelujah in the style of Kraftwerk, and when one of his horns went a bit funny when he was playing a tune on a collection of old fashioned car horns. He played the song twice but the horn hit a flat note on both occassions. The crowd loved it and Bill was laughing his head off and ended up slumping to the floor in a fit of giggles and hiding under a large cloth in mock shame.
He went for it a third time and played the song all the way through perfectly and got a big round of applause for it.
Great night watching a very funny guy 8)

Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings: great stuff!
Katy Perry: what a show.
Ed Byrne: one of my favourite comedians, absolutely hilarious.

Next up I'll be seeing Paul Carrack again. Can't wait!
