Fireworks were later tonight which was a shame cos it meant my friend stayed later lol!!!

MeatGrl1 08 Jun 2008 01:23

It seems to be pretty quiet here for a minute .

Anyway seems like I've got things moving, I signed up on whenever it was, Wednesday I think. I handed in my CV to a hotel and to this recruitment agency and after some help got this application form into Morrison's. But hopefully I will have money for my concerts .
It's been pretty boring beside that, went to the park Monday and Friday and that was fun. I love it this time of year there's all little baby ducklings and Morehen chicks out.

Monstro 08 Jun 2008 01:26

Awesome firework pics! Especially the last one!

As for haircuts, my hairdresser can take a couple of hours to cut mine, but he's lovely and we have a good natter so I don't mind. :-) I do however from time to time cut other people's hair, and used to regularly do a (now ex-) boyfriend's hair (not Alex) - he'd had a few bad experiences with barbers (that he'd paid for) and soon realised the advantages of having me do it - aside of the fact that I'm a perfectionist so there wasn't a strand out of place I also wasn't charging. But he didn't half used to moan it was taking a long time - OF COURSE it took a long time, I am not actually a hairdresser and was actually doing it neatly - what do you want for free?!! :O

Emma - really glad to hear things are looking up and you have a few avenues now that might lead to jobs - best of luck, I hope something decent comes up soon! :-)

And now I'm off to bed having just spent probably quarter of an hour trying to, of sorts, break into my parents' house. The last thing you want when you get in at 2.30am is to find they've left the bloody key in the otherside of the lock :wtf:. After trying and failing to push their key through with mine, I tried the arms through the letter box approach but despite having fairly skinny arms, I do not however have arms that bend in weird ways, so couldn't reach the keys to either unlock the door or remove the keys. Using my car arial (most convenient stick-type devise!) to try to fish the keys out of the lock wasn't proving successful either and it was this point my mother woke up (despite me trying to be quiet, there is only so quiet you can be with both arms and an arial shoved through a letter box pulling at keys!) and let me in having come down to find out what the noise was. Fortunately there is glass in the door and she could see it was me rather than thinking I was some burglar! :O:tired::zzz:

Took me (complete novice) less than ten mins to fit new sunroof glass to our car...

To put it in context the ford dealer wanted to charge £111.50...

And they would only fit new glass costing £330...

Got mine from breakers for £43 including postage...

Feckin scam artists!!!!!!!
