I actually like Midnight itself and Don't You Look At Me Like That...

allrevvedup 08 Jul 2008 22:27

oh well...night folks..talk soon and take it easy

RadioMaster 08 Jul 2008 22:32

I actually think Midnight is the worst song on the album. lol

The album is not as over the top and dramatic as all the others are, but if you see it as a normal rock n roll album it's actually pretty good.

I think that some people should stay dead.

Night, Mike

Bad Attitude is on now...
Cheating in your deams is better than i remember...

duke knooby 08 Jul 2008 22:44

i find, at a live show... where you are in the audience... the actual physical location.. and layout of the venue, can have a huge impact on the sound quality you hear at the concert... (and the atmosphere... possibly due to the sound) and therefore the difference between a good concert and a great concert (or awful concert)... also i've read it many times on the live reviews section that singers never/can't/rarely sound like they did on the cd.. this may be due to many factors, and may be the case with some singers... but it is not the case with all singers... many sound EXACTLY the same live, as on the cd... or in some cases... much much better!!!!

Cathie 08 Jul 2008 22:45

To me, Cheating in your Dreams sounds like something from a 50's musical...can just see the backing characters swaying...it's got that kind of charm that can hide the violence in it.

i find it normal for people to stay dead... in fact, i think i would get a nasty shock if someone that was dead got up and said hi :D

I actually like the songs, but the first and the second part dont fit together IMO.
It's starting as a sad rock ballad, but goes over into 50s/60s Rock n Roll.....had to get used to that when i first heard it.
Still appears a little odd to me when I listen to it...

I agree...actually I thought Marion Raven was better live than on the cd...and maybe the environment of the live setting had a lot to do with that :?

It's when people that you would like to see the back of suddenly appear again that I've got a problem lol

p.s. if dead people get up and say hi, that is a little creepy but ok. it's when they say "mmmm...yummy" that you head for the hills my darling ;)

Never really heard the cd, but i thought her support set was boring as hell...

however I really liked her solo set when I saw her here in Cologne in september....much much better, and a lot rockier..
