Although I am a member of MLFCUK been a while, but I have only now found the opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Katrin and I'm 32 years old and live in a cute little German town called Görlitz. (I'm sure you've never heard of it but it is a beautiful resort.)
I am a huge fan since 1993, by Meat Loaf.
Unfortunately, I could see Meat live only for two concerts. (But from the Bat Cave)
But I am now, an even avid Meat Loaf fan.
Right now I work as a tour guide to my hometown.

I know my english is not the best! I understand it very well, but I still find it a really to hard to write in english. Please bear with me.:oops:;)

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am 33 years old, and right now I live in Münster, Germany. I've loved Meat Loaf ever since I heard "Anything for Love" for the first time, and bought that album, but listened to that one track over and over again. Only later I discovered how great the rest of the album is. And the other albums. (is that the plural? nevermind...;-). And I think one of the reasons why I am here is, that none of my friends are Meat Loaf -fans. I have no idea why. Apart from that, they are really great people ;-)

So, it's great to know you're all there :-)

Hey All - I didn't know where to post my introduction but I kinda had to seeing as I signed up. Is there a new member's thread?? Maybe I'm too sober to find it haha!
So to introduce meself....first record I ever bought was Dead Ringer For Love back in '81 was hooked ever since. I then discovered record fairs and collected a very interesting lot of Meat Loaf vinyl etc
Anyways, I've seen Meat Loaf shows since '85 but the last time I saw him play was in '99 because that show to me (and my mam and dad) was really really bad so I stopped buying the albums and sorta wistfully wished that things were like they used to be. I'm expecting to be banned now hahaha!!
But....HCTB is an effing wonderful album and now since my son is into Meat Loaf I am looking forward to watching a show again!!
I could go on and on but y'kna I won't. Just one more thing though - I'll always be grateful to Meat Loaf personally for him and his sponsors(Harp Lager)for inviting us and PAYING for us to travel to Bristol on the train, the hotel and backstage passes etc back in 1988. I will NEVER EVER forget that!

I saw this thread today for the first time.
Here some details to my person. I´m 40 years old and I live in Plauen, Germany. This is a small town near Leipzig, maybe somebody know this city? I have two boys and I work as a executive secretary in a architect´s office.
I grow up in east germany. In this land to get album or a video from an american musicer - no way, or very very difficult. That´s why I dont know Meat Loaf before BOOH II came out.
Since 1993 AFL came out - I´m the greatest Meat Loaf fan :D OK like all of us :D When he was on tour here in germany, i was there. All stuff from Meat Loaf which I can get is in my collection. Not one of my friends is a Meat Loaf fan, unfortunately, so it is good to find other fans here.

I´m sure we will have a nice time together :lol:

Hello, I'm new as well.
I'm 27 years old and live in Bremen, Germany. I grew up with Meat's music, so I guess you can say I've always been a fan. ;) Unfortunately, I've only see him two times in concert, '07 and '08. Really looking forward to the German tour!

Well..Im Rich, 26, from Rotherham Uk (next to Sheffield) Love music - no music no life - I am inerested in many bands and styles of music, but a big meat fan, and have been since hearing on a tape on my Uncles car in the late 80s. I am a drummer, play 60s music, and another band that play rock/blues (hendrix, cream, doors, srv etc) I love to chat to people, im easy going, like a laugh, have GSOH....this is sounding like a lonely hearts ad - Non smoker, 5'8...lol. I joined this place 4 years ago, yet I just made my first post recently (this is my 2nd) I suppose I joined this when Bat 3 came out, and then never posted and sadly forgot about this place! I guess lookin up some meat loaf stuff (especially warioloaf's youtube channel) got me listening to him alot. I read thru past topics, also its awesome that meat loaf actually posts here! I would do the same if I was a singer or in a band. And interestingly enough the album I joined this board because of I find to be just ok, I secretly hope meatloaf makes a album with steinman and call it the true bat out of hell III.

Anyways I have been a meat loaf fan since 1993 when I heard I'd do anything for love, Bat Out Of Hell II was actually the first album I ever could saw was mine! (Got it as my 9 year old bday present)
Around 97,98 i started liking other bands, and well didnt listen to meat for years! probably until 2005 Id say where I gave BOH2 a listen again and of course BOH1 and well I have listened to meat on and off since as well as steinman stuff (never having too long of gaps!)

So with that said, Hello everyone!

Took me ages to find this thread! Really wanted to say Hello to all, joined a while ago, but have just been watching the threads and not really commenting. Thought I'd better introduce myself :D
I'm Shelly and come from the UK. Been a Meat Loaf fan since I was the tender age of 15 (won't disclose my age as I am a lady! :roll:)
First saw the main man in concert in 1996 on the 'Born to Rock Tour' which was totally awesome!
Haven't managed to see him again as after getting married (and unfortunately my OH is not very enthusiastic as I am about Meat!), living abroad for a couple years, relocating back to the UK and then having a couple of kiddies, funds and time was always short! Really, really hoping that he tours in the UK this or next year as I have plans to see him and the band perform again!! :D
Looking forward to making like minded Meat friends and chatting Meat Loaf ;)

Hello:))) I am a massive Meat Loaf fan who has followed him for 30 years. Believe it or not (life got in the way) I have only seen him live just the once. I have been a member here for years but mainly stuck to the American fan club forums before it closed as I never felt experienced enough with concerts etc to post here though I do read or 'lurk' on occasion and know one or two people. Everyone is so close and friendly here that it is hard to kind of jump into a group. But I am jumping in now. I am looking to befriend fellow fans and also to encourage fellow lurkers who are too shy to join in too. There is a lot of division going on in Meat's Facebook page and I feel he needs some more support here. I am nervous posting but I love Meat Loaf's music and want to chat to other fans:-)
