Intersting point! One of my biggest passions in life (bar Meat Loaf!) is art history, so when I read Da Vinci code I was absolutely in heaven! A friend recommended Angels & Demons, describing it as 'religion and science' whereas it was religion and art in Da Vinci, so I really didn't think I'd like it...was hooked almost instantly. The descriptions of the Bernini sculpture is superb, if it hadn't been for tour this year I think a trip to Rome would definitely have featured!

And to stay on topic the last film we saw was Hitch :))

Wanna meet in Italy next year?

Death Race.
Quite a good "guys' switch off your brain and sit back" type of movie.

last movie i watched that was decent was Meet the Spartans, i loved it and found it very funny.

R. 03 Oct 2008 01:27

Iron Man DVD.
Pretty good flick besides being a bloody Audi commercial.

Mmm, Johnny Depp

We tried to watch Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid the other night, in honor of Paul Newman, but it was a real snooze. We only got halfway through.

Betty 03 Oct 2008 19:33

Der Baader-Meinhof Komplex

AndrewG 04 Oct 2008 02:55

Be Kind Rewind.
Awful I thought. Looks like it was made by amateurs and Jack Black just happened to stroll along. A few interesting ideas and just a very, very few laughs. Definitely do not recommend this. Disappointing.
Terrible cinematography btw, countless shots where you don't see the person on screen who is talking. Crazy.

AndrewG 04 Oct 2008 18:28

The Brave One.

Think this is a really good film with Jodie Foster, brilliant actress.
Seen it before in the cinema, but worth a second watch and definitely made up for the awful comedy I saw yesterday.

angelica 04 Oct 2008 22:38

Elizabeth The Golden Age ... watchable, but not as good as I thought it would be

Devil's Advocate.

Clicking over the channels last night and saw it was on.

Started watching and really got into the story.
Was enjoying it a LOT and then the last 20 mins happened :wtf:

Worst u turn since Bobby came out the shower

Makes the use of a deux de machine look sophisticated :nope:

Brilliant film, crap ending

RadioMaster 04 Oct 2008 23:57

The Darjeeling Limited

As everything Wes Anderson does it's very weird...but I am a fan anyway...

Hypnobabe 07 Oct 2008 01:05

Armageddon.

Betty 08 Oct 2008 00:49

Wall-E

Loved it!! Soooooo funny, cute, and beautifully animated!!
Iīll see it again tomorrow
Itīs incredible how theyīve done such a brilliant movie without any dialogues/monologues at all!!!
I didnīt see quite a few of the funny scenes cos I was still crying with laughter cos of the previous funny scenes

geordieloaf 08 Oct 2008 02:03

IT again will never get bored of this film, Tim Curry is creepy as pennywise great horror. Off topic but there are rumours of a remake in the near future!

AndrewG 08 Oct 2008 02:10

Won't surprise me about an IT remake. They like to remake Stephen King stuff it seems. They did the shining as a tv series and I thought it was pretty good too, though obviously not as good as the original film.

geordieloaf 08 Oct 2008 02:18

I actually thought the tv series of the shinning was better as it followed the book more accuratley lol. Trouble is most of the SK movies are terrible but i am excited about the IT remake as there is so much more they could have added in the original one. (Although it would have made the film about 8 hours long)

AndrewG 08 Oct 2008 02:23

They should remake the running man imo. The book version is great.

geordieloaf 08 Oct 2008 02:28

Yea and without Arnie.
