If I was a mobile tyre fitter I think I'd double check that the tyres I'd brought were the right size before starting to remove the old tyres from a customers car.

Ok.... explain what brings you to post something like that!!

It sounds like either an annoying or a funny story....

At least I presume that tyre fitter didn't ram the car into a concrete pole whilst doing the alignment check like what happened to me.

Quite simple really. Arranged for a mobile tyre fitter to come to work today to fit some new tyres, since the old ones are nearly at the legal limit and it's getting too wet and slippery to be safe (although it can be a little fun sliding the car round corners it's frowned upon from some quarters) .. he arrives this morning, proceeds to take one of the old rear tyres off the car and then starts to fit the new one ... only to find he's brought a 16" tyre and not the required 17" one.

No he didn't, and he won't be getting a go behind the wheel when he does return tomorrow either.

Gracie 17 Sep 2008 12:33

Maybe its cos I have just had a two week holiday in Africa where it was like 40 degrees even in the shade now, its wet.

Hope everyone else is doing well. ;)

Ah, so a bit in between annoying and funny then....

Return home safe today!

Ankie 17 Sep 2008 13:06

Need to get a new laptop sorted...limited access online does nothing for me!

MissAsh 17 Sep 2008 13:48

Think this is the most disorganised I've ever been for any gig. Still don't know if I'm leaving tomorrow or Friday, haven't got transport to/from the airports booked, no idea where my hotel confirmation/camera/memory cards are and haven't even contemplated packing yet. I have managed to find my gig tickets, passport and oyster card though which is good.
