Unable to perform ever!!!

So, Andy and I dropped my 106 off at the garage ready for it's MOT and service, cost Ģ94 for the two which I thought was pretty good, and was prepared for a phonecall telling me the car needed minor repairs to get it through MOT, for which I'd set aside about Ģ200.

Garage called to say that the car failed it's MOT so badly that they'd not bothered to service it and the safest thing I could do wouldbe to scrap it! MOT sheet has 4 major points on the fail sheet - one of which is marked with a ' **DANGEROUS** ' and another sheet of 11 things that need fixing, would have cost over a grand!!! :panic:

So after an afternoon of me Andy making phonecalls and me mourning the loss of Patti the Peugeot, we ended up at the Honda dealer and I am now the proud owner of Patti the Punto, in dusky pink :p

daveake 04 Nov 2008 10:51

Honda could have sold you Button's old car. Very slow; slight fire damage; one uncareful owner ;-)

Dave

That'll be until the new millennium then! :p

Got to say it's a cracking little car, it's only had one owner who took 13 years to put 57,000 miles on it! And it's my first car that's had 5 doors, I must be a 'soccer mom' with a car where people can actually get in the back!

I think you're underestimating yourself just a tiny bit...

In any event...good luck and lots of joy with it...and don't play music too loud...LOL

LucyK! 04 Nov 2008 14:29

lol thanks...though there'll be very little music in it at the moment, the stereo in there is a radio and cassette player, thankfully I salvaged the CD player from the old car so need to get that fitted

Still laughing that the salesman at the garage was apologetic for the car being almost pink, that was a selling point to me!

mszee 04 Nov 2008 14:35

Andy, you do know what to do with that CD player she salvaged from the other car, right?
