ps about to watch Madagascar - Escape 2 Africa. will let you al know what I think ;)

RadioMaster 24 Jan 2009 09:32

W.

well made, a lot more believable than Fahrenheit 9/11, also had an interesting storyline. Only problem is, that this is still only the picture and opinion of one man, Oliver Stone, and nothing objective.

I assume it's hard to make a reasonably objective movie about a politician (or any other public person), no matter who the director is. I even believe that something like objectivity does not really exist, everything you say or do is somehow subjective. You can only be objective up to a certain extent. ;)

The last movie I saw was Hell Is For Heroes - WWII movie by Don Siegel with Steve McQueen. Pretty good.

phantoms (1998)

what appeared to be a typical b-movie horror flick actually turned out to be quite good.

Saw The Wrestler last night, really good but a weird ending, Mickey Rourke is great in it.

MissAsh 25 Jan 2009 16:03

The Crow.

For some reason I've never managed to watch it all the way though (work/sleep etc getting in the way) but I'm glad I did last night, loved it.

It was kinda awkward in the cinema though - I was with my brother whos 13 and everyone else was either about 6 years old or a mum...

I need to rewatch that I love it to peices and Brandon Lee was gorgeous though I refuse to watch the sequals, personally I feel their disrespectful to Brandon because he died making that film.

He was 38-years-old and this film was to break it for him.

A Good Woman starring Helen Hunt and Scarlett Johanssen. Took me a while to work out it was a version of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan. Very good though.

MeatGrl1 27 Jan 2009 12:49

Spartan, as I said in the wrong thread LOL
Very good movie, especially as I'm a VK fan as you know and he appears in this pratically start to finish.
Enjoyed it.

Bruce died (while filming) at the age of 32, of what is to be believed, a brain hemmorage. Brandon died at the age of 28

This is based on a true story and it's really beautiful, though sad in other parts.
