Lakehouse...

I figured that letters traveled in time via old mailbox - must have been a nexus between the times...

Somehow every time that little flag dropped I was thinking...You've got mail!

What I haven't figured out was...how did they talk like it was a messenger...back and forth...must have spent a LOT of time standing by that mailbox...fun fun fun...

Rockette 26 Mar 2007 15:09

Chasing Ghosts. First time I'd seen it. Great movie with even greater actor/s in it.

Jeanie 26 Mar 2007 19:22

The Hills Have Eyes 2

Amazingly enough, this film made me jump a few times, which most horror flicks don't, because you can see it coming. This one also ends in away that there could be a part 3 in the future. :) I give it an 8/10 for "jump factor". :)) Not a bad flick at all.. much better than I had imagined it would be.

what's it always with women and Depp?

Always when you're in a group with at least two girls or women, and you're discussing movies, after maximal 4 minutes it goes "Depp Depp Depp Depp Depp" :nag:

It's the atmosphere that makes the whole movie. Very well made. Though I dont think I'll be able to watch it again in the near future

What the hell was that?
Cant believe I spent money for this! Why do so many people say it's the funniest movie in ages? There were two or three moments were I had to smile just from the pure stupidity, but that's all!

Funnily the ad's over here announced it as a movie that shows the dumbness and ingnorance of the americans...But I dont see any igonrance in two men pretending to hump each other or a a devil as jew. Two or three times I really thought what weird ways of thinking these people must have, but then again, I think many people would just say what he wants to hear to do conversation or small talk.

Well, what they meant is...this is how Americans envision Uzbekhistan and Uzbek people or whatever...

However...beleive it or not...in remote parts of Russia people never heard of jews...but from what they did hear...they envision them as devils...that is actually a true fact...

I actually met a person who while encountering their first Jewish person said...I don't get it...he has two eyes, two arms and two legs...what is so different about him??????????????? Was expecting a devil with horns...

mszee 09 Apr 2007 17:10

Oh my god...believe it or not it was Sound of Music

I needed something playing in the background and not distracting me...

AndyK 09 Apr 2007 19:18

Strictly speaking it was the Sound Of Music also, but since I was painting at the time it doesn't count (someone else who shall remain nameless, but for the sake of argument we'll call her "T'Other Half" Yoddled all the way through). Still can't understand how she (Julie Andrews that is, not T'Other Half) can be a nun one day and then three days later is getting married! :?

Other than that it was Premonition ... didn't see that coming :))

mszee 09 Apr 2007 19:56

I have a LOT of questions concerning that movie now...

For example...how do you walk away...quit sort of without notice and leave innocent children fend for themselves...and then come back just like that...just because...and taken in like you're the best thing that ever happened to anybody...

Because the Captain loves Maria! :cheer:

I could sit all day and pull that story line apart but the "must sing along" songs make up for it....not sure the neighbours agree, or Andy for that matter, but I love it!

That movie drives me MAD...

I haven't watched it for years now...and although I now see it with new eyes...the songs just get into my hair and I can't wash them out...they are VERY catchy...

But then again...I LOVE musicals...and once I see one or hear one...it gets into my head and the only way to get them out is for me to see the next one...:lmao:

LucyK! 10 Apr 2007 16:51

The US-Directors cut version is the best IMO, pretty bloody that's important for the mood of the movie.
