Hahah tempting but no...it was kinda similar to what I'm doing now, but more money and further away...a friend pointed it out to me tonight...which is also the closing date. So I opted not to - didn't think I could do justice in such a short amount of time.

Not sure yet... tiz the engine warning light, and means any number of things! Happened a couple of weeks back (although I was away all of last week so in driving time, it was a week ago!), took to garage (friendly local peugeot specialist) who ran diagnostics but couldn't diagnose problem so reset it and told me to bring back (along with the error code from last time) if it happened again. Which is has. :-(

Not had chance to look at it properly yet, but checked exhaust, which didn't seem sooty at all, so unlikely to be fuel too rich ... I think :??:

My thinking, is that chances are, the light came on due to some momentary fault which isn't occurring all the time (I don't know, say, increase in temperature) but long enough to put the warning light on (which doesn't go off unless reset) so continuing to drive won't do too much harm.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong, and continuing to drive is not doing my Cat any good whatsoever.

I really don't want to take it to some 'unknown' garage who will more than likely take one look at me, think the words 'blonde', 'female' and 'dim' and then try to convince me it's some thing that's going to cost half the car's worth, when it really isn't! As I really don't know what I'm talking about and am only guessing everything!

So the options are keep driving it 'til Monday, or don't keep driving it 'til Monday...and public transport ain't so brilliant around here!

duke knooby 26 May 2009 23:38

if it seems to be running fine, i'd keep driving it... till it can get hooked up to the diagnostics... im guessing the lambda sensor

I agree with that...if Peugeot still made 106s, I'd buy a new one...I think it's miles above any other small car currently available...as small cars these days are either not small cars (new Micra, Mini, Corsa) or not great for speed or passengers (smart car, 107)

Got a new one of those last August. The old one'd come detached from the manifold (?) ... otherwise that's the assumption I'd've jumped to.

But it's driving just the same as it always has (it's a lot more ropey sounding (or 'sportier', as a friend more kindly described it!) than my Mum's 106 of the same age - but hers is a more expensive model, and has done less than half the mileage. That, and it's predominantly driven by my mother; as opposed to by me) so that's a bit reassuring I think.

Have you seen the dental work on some people in the UK? one would think that there weren't any toothbrushes in the country. A toothbrush is something she definitely needs to pack :))

Well let's add them up

15 where Zina threatens to leave and then doesn't ... clearly rubbish
9000 talking about Duke Special, has to be rubbish based simply on the fact that Jonty likes him.
15000 in word association/what film/what did you last eat/when was your last poo/ask the person below you ... type threads. Threads designed for spammers so they have to be rubbish as well.
100 speculating when Don't Forget The Lyrics is on TV. Specualtion not hard fact, so has to be rubbish too.
425 talking about a rubbish trip to London a coupe of years ago, if it was a rubbish trip then it must be a rubbish post
425 talking about a rubbish trip to London this last New year, ditto reasoning.
84 wittering about some rubbish album called Bat III.

so that leaves 1 post that can't be calssified as rubbish. Perhaps we should offer a special prize to whoever can find it? :lmao: :p
