you take a glass...
you put the glass over the spider....
you take a piece of paperboard....
you slip it between the floor and the glass...
you take the glass with the paperboard and leave the spider outside the house...

That one of mine does. He runs and he jumps, gives out a little war cry, swats it, tortures it then if we don't stop him, he eats it.

My cat does that too! Guess what his name is? It's MEAT! and i love to cuddle up to him, seem's as tho i can't cuddle the real one!
