Great post, i am very proud to be British, both my granda's fought in World War Two. My brother is a Captain in the army and has risked his life many times over for this country. He has been in over 20 years, started as a gunner and worked damned hard to get where he is now. He recently raised £6000 for Action For Heroes, by beating the World Record for half marathon with full military kit. Ok i am gonna stop going on, its something i am very passionate about. I will never be ashamed to be British either !

I wonder how people can be proud or ashamed of something they have no influence on.

funny you should say that as I only learned today about Autoglass at a seminar in Uni. Never knew other countries have it too.....It's called Carglass in Germany and France. Because here in Germany Auto is the word for car and therefore calling a company Autoglass would be quite boring. Don't know about France though.

is it completely broken?

Indeed. :-)

Think UK rightly so ended last in Eurovision, all the other songs were simply better. No politics at all, they were just better. Simple as that.

allrevvedup 31 May 2010 19:53

can't say I heard any of the songs as the pub I was in, after the recording session, on Saturday night had the sound off was just showing the results.

However there are political votes between a lot of the european countries now or at least it seems like it. I think most countries do not really want to host it and had heard that Norwegian television sacrificed showing world cup matches on free to air television to pay for this year's show.

with that said, the UK haven't had a decent song in there for a long time.

Sure there is some political voting going on but in the grand scheme of things I doubt it helps to decide the winner, or are we going to listen to conspiracy theorists and suggest Germany won because they agreed to help to bail out Greece? ;)

allrevvedup 31 May 2010 20:06

I wasn't even going to stretch it that far...I thought Germany probably won because the singer looked good in a black dress.

I did have a suggestion for a title for ireland's entry next year that I could work on but it's a little rude so i best not post it here!:D
