Independance Day

AndrewG 16 May 2007 01:33

28 weeks later.
Okay I guess.
Thought it was all rather disturbing if anything. Especially the attack scene with the woman on the hospital bed. Maybe I'm getting too old for horror movies. Prefer Romero's original zombie movies to this zany stuff.

Lol... just started watching it now... And thinking that even when I'm reading the books, in my mind, Amelia is Angelina Jolie... she fits with my picture of the character, which is really unusual...

tinkerbell 17 May 2007 00:11

Spiderman 3, didnt think much of it, got better towards the end.....

Rockette 17 May 2007 03:39

Basta.rd Boys
- Actually it was a two part Australian mini series/movie, a partially fictional piece based on actual events on the waterfront (predominantly in Melbourne) in 1998. Perfect for the unionists and politically inclined, and brilliantly portrayed.

For me it was 16 Blocks... followed by the end of the remake of The Jackal, with Richard Gere's dreadful 'Irish' accent..

I was there, sat through nigh on three hours of Pirates 3. Best thing about it was they gave us a ten min interval to pop out for a smoke.

my advice........wait for it to come out on DVD then BORROW it from someone, the film was not woth a portion of all the hype that came with it.

BRING ON SHREK 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SamCat 07 Jun 2007 15:14

It could have been shorter but the seats were comfy and i'd had pizza and a glass of wine so i was happy just sitting!!!

Betty 07 Jun 2007 15:29

You can have pizza in cinema in the UK???
Ok, now Iīm jealous!
We gotta go to the cinema next time when Iīm over, ok? ;)

SamCat 07 Jun 2007 15:40

Unfortunately not!! I had it just before i went in!! I wish they served pizza in cinemas i'd go more often than twice a year then!!

LucyK! 18 Jun 2007 12:59

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but the original version.....bizarre!! It was sort of...nothing, didn't really have a point or an ending...very odd, not to mention the 72 minute documentary on the bonus features - I was close to chainsawing myself!

The remake is much much better

AndyK 18 Jun 2007 13:07

Exactly ... can imagine in it's day it was a shock flick, but now it's nothing!

Give me the film before the film before the film we saw last anyday! Hot Fuzz is fantastic! :))

... a friend of mine from years back? ... her brother... age about 21... went to see the film... and they found him dead in the theater seat when the lights went up... true story... i don't think it was JUST the film... i believe he may have had a drug problem as well... perhaps the shock of the film just gave out his already weakened heart... don't know... but his death was declared a heart attack ...

at anyrate... i woke to a film called Pipe Dreams this a m... interested me enough so that i think i want to see it from the git-go...
