Meat on dutch TV in "Trapped" next Friday

Net 5 20.30 hours

Caelan 03 Jul 2005 01:05

trapped

have seen just half of the movie but Meat did a fine job there to bad I didn't see all of it

SteinLoaf 19 Jul 2005 01:31

Was Meat on Top Gear last night? I didn't see it but heard he was...anyone know anything about it?

Diane 19 Jul 2005 11:53

No "live" Meat. They played a clip from the "Bat Out Of Hell" promo video and made the usual infantile comments about Meat in the name of humour. Still, it's creating a buzz. Friends have phoned me asking if I've seen the show and it's probably got more people talking about "Bat" than any other song on the top 5 list. Meat will probably clinch it!

As they say "no publicity is bad publicity".

Well I emailed Clarkson and said that if Bat wins, we'll offer to go and play the song for them live in the studio hehe (and that they can send James May around the Stig's track in my db7 while we're doing it as it the best song on the list) :-)

Diane 19 Jul 2005 12:30

Good on you! Keep us posted as to what Clarkson has to say.

Impressive car you have there Andrew.

SteinLoaf 19 Jul 2005 12:34

Yeah it's a really fun car to drive although it wasn't a happy bunny on the grass at Chatsworth and Blickling lol. Realised a James Bond style dream about 5 months ago lol - and if it's a good carrot to dangle at the Top Gear posse then i'm up for that hehehehe. Besides I think that all the anti-propaganda they've been going on to get people to NOT vote for Bat is just more likely to have the exact opposite effect ;)

I think we could all have some serious fun with a car like that!

My thoughts too. I believe that Clarkson actually wants "Bat" to win.

Diane

SteinLoaf 19 Jul 2005 13:03

Well....here she is....and she's lurv-lie :-)

...and kinda got a Bat on front lol

Here's hoping that Bat wins the Driving Song Contest. Only other one that would come close in my opinion is Steppenwolf.

And I think you are right Diane...Clarkson I think is a secret Loaf Luvver lol...

Long live the rule of the Bat ...

Typical BBC. Show a movie when people have to start thinking about going to bed. Why can't they show these movies earlier or on Fridays/Saturdays instead of all the crap they broadcast then.

Guess I'll have to DVDr it or rent it again if I want to see it. Waste of license money this...

Little word called 'watershed'. I don't think the BBC want little kiddies seeing Meat's head fall out of his cap and onto the floor. ;)

Watershed is at nine as far as I know. Still think 10.50 is rather late on a Sunday.

Meat should be on Jonathan Ross when he's back in the UK for the show / pre Bat 3 release promotion!
Come on Jonathan, have somebody decent on your show for a change.

Meat's Bat 2 interview with Ross was great I thought, it would be fitting to have a Bat 3 interview reunion I think.

Agree completely! Will be rather disappointed with old Wossy if he doesn't get Meat on! Although I find it rather sad in our house that the highlight of TV viewing on a Friday is JR! We actually cheered when we learned it was to be on again the other week, but there's nothing else on! Bring on the next series of Spooks, Hustle or Life On Mars!:D

I agree, but please let Hustle season 4 be wayyyy better than 3. Season 3 sucked big time IMO. Season 2 is the best thus far IMO. :D

AndyK 02 Jan 2007 20:47

Right now on The Hits channel in the UK, Meat Loaf's Top 50 Rock Gods is playing, just caught a clip of Meat introducing Metallica, and there's still the Top 30 to go ...

LucyK! 02 Jan 2007 20:52

You heard the shrieking then?!! :))

JanT 02 Jan 2007 20:56

It's a repeat?

LucyK! 02 Jan 2007 20:59

No, it's Fresh Meat :))

Basically it's just the music channel playing however many rock songs and they've put Meat's name to it, but as Andy said he has popped up to introduce some songs

LucyK! 02 Jan 2007 21:10

I'm being shouted at....it might be a repeat, it's certainly recent, Bat III Meat!

geordieloaf 02 Jan 2007 22:51

So Meat actually introduces some of the band's. I thought it was just his head in the corner while some bloke picked the songs.

AndyK 02 Jan 2007 23:42

Yeah he did ... although he clearly didn't pick the Top 50 "they" did.

djfierce 03 Jan 2007 00:19

yep its a repeat was on a month or two..or three  ago

LucyK! 03 Jan 2007 00:42
