If there's anyone who can't make any of the shows who'd like us to pick up a copy of the EP for them at the weekend drop me a PM. Think they're £5 each, so it'll be that plus postage.

Yes, it's £5 each. |

Anyone going to Sheffield?
From Patti's manager on Twitter: "Big surprise guest for #pattirusso show at @O2AcademySheff on Thursday!" |
We're up to buying 18 EPs already - anyone else you have until Saturday to shout up!
|
A great review and pics of Patti in Birmingham:

And as a bonus John Parr joined Patti on stage for a couple of songs. |

Can anyone tell me what time Patti is on stage at the gigs please?
|
It seems to vary - Sheffield had doors opening at 7 but nothing started until 8.30.
We have tickets for Oxford and their doors are 6.30...there seems to he a good hour+ between doors and show. |
Thats great, thanks Lucy. We are going to Leicester but wont be there till about 7 30.

She did, and he stayed for an extra two songs.
Patti was outstanding, I mean really phenomenal. The turn out wasn't great again - about 30 if not less - but let me tell you she doesn't give a rats ass! She's truly happy and loving every minute of what she's doing. |
JOHN PARR - Awesome, saw him supporting both Journey and Richard Marx, was brilliant both times (hearing the acoustic version of the Best was brilliant!)
Looks like a brilliant set list and good sounds from the videos so far - really looking forward to next Sunday at Islington! Hope there are some copies of the EP left for me to buy! |
We've sold 28 but I'm sure there are plenty!!
|
Another outstanding performance tonight!
|
wha songs did she do with John Parr?

So, while Wario is having a coronary due to excitement... Long Train Running, Great Balls of Fire and another rock and roll classic that we can't name right now. |
Last night was incredible; not a lot of people I'd say about 40? However everyone was dancing and having a good time :)
Meeting Patti after the show was amazing and she congratulated me and Ash on our wedding :) my face still hurts from all the smiling! |
I think Patti is a gem. And also has fantastic teeth.
Looking forward to Brighton...and maybe London |

Patti was superb.
I didn't have high expectations but let me tell you this was almost as good a show as I have seen Meat and Bruce Springsteen do. It was as if she was performing to thousands. And she should be doing that. The quality, fun and smile factors are all there. It was incredibly impressive for her first outing as a solo artist. The great 4 piece band which includes Jamie Moses on guitar, creates a wall of sound that the pre-accused murdering mind of Phil Spector would have been proud off. The fact that I live in the world where the majority of people choose to sit at home on a Saturday night and expect entertainment to grace their TV screens in the form of advertised chattering mayhem such as Britain's Got Talent and the X Factor makes me very sad. Millions watch that drivel. Something isn't right and should be fixed... https://scontent-a-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/...57620016_o.jpg I urge anyone with even the slightest of interest in good live music and the type of music that Patti performs (rock / Queen / some Meat Loaf) to come down to the remaining shows in Brighton, Leicester and London and check her out! No excuses, just do it! I hope this is the start of something big for Ms Russo and I'm actually hoping that next time Patti tours I can't even get a ticket due to huge demand. That would be something she deserves I think. Don't get me wrong, I'd still get into the venue somehow! :-P Go see her live!! |
how rowed are the shows so far? big crowd?
|
The EP is great and also awesome Patti Russo t-shirts for sale.
|
Babysitter secured and tickets booked, anyone at the London show please feel free to say hi!!!!!
Edited just to pee off the spelling mistake police below lol |

Apparently 80 or so at Brighton.
The train is growing longer and stronger but it will take time. This is just the very start. From small things big things one day come... |
Thanks to Andrew, Patti just did a radiointerview on BBC Radio Leicester. They also played Bible and a beer.
She's very gratefull for that. Well done, Andrew! Let's all promote Patti where we can! She deserves it. |
The size of the crowd does not matter...the quality of the show does. The most fantastic shows I have ever seen or been part of have been in front of small sized crowds. Some of the larger houses I have performed in and/or seen shows in have left me disappointed.
|
Merchandise
Does anyone know what merchandise is available to buy at the shows ?
|
The interview on radio Leicester, Patti's on around 1.13.
Link will only be working for a week from yesterday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01wrgg8 |
Two Free tickets for tonight's show if anyone wants them. PM me.

As I have mentioned I saw Meat perform in a club before a similar sized crowd and he still went on as though the place was packed. Also remembering that as Meat himself has pointed out success is not measured by numbers alone but in giving it all you've got every time. No doubt Patti feels the same way. I admire her for going after her dream and not letting things get her down or worrying about her age. Patti deserves so much and I hope she will be happy in the fact that she is performing great as always. |
I couldn't agree more, Loaferman. I'm proud to be a member of a fan club that offers encouragement to Meat and the band. And we should all consider their feelings before we post a comment. There was nothing 'embarrassing' when Meat played small clubs in the 80's nor is it for Patti or Pearl or any other artist.

While millions would know who Patti is and have seen her perform with Meat, Cher, Queen, and others - they would probably know her when they see her more than recognizing her name on a sign.
Pearl is another good example. She has been seen by tons of people and we all know her, but the average person seeing the name Pearl on a sign might not make the connection. Both those ladies are very talented and are doing very well and doing what they love and loving what they do. I praise them both for it and sticking to it and putting themselves out there. |
Just sorted out my ticket and travel stuff for London ^_^.
Does anyone know the price of the t-shirts? as I've completely forgotten. |

The logistics of getting to a show vary so much upon individual circumstance. I am constantly looking for events to go to but can only attend on certain days, within the restraints of family commitments and up to an optimum travelling distance. So, to find a show of an artist I really want to watch at a convenient location on the right day and with mrs chairboys' permission is either a very lucky coincidence or an act of deception on my part. |
Wow Wow Wow
Just home from a truly amazing gig, about 150 in the room tonight, similar set lists to other dates on the tour with special guests Spike Edney and John Partridge!!! Hope Patti does another few dates here in the UK, was truly awesome!! |
Truly amazing show tonight, bit of an audience celeb fest as well. Will write more tomorrow and chuck a few pics in but it was awesome.

But what a gig. Tremendous. Flipping Insanely outstanding. Highlight of the year I reckon. |
Right, somehow I've got to put into words what I witnessed last night so please bear with me as a writer I ain't.
I reckon there was 80 - 100 there for the start of her set, more drifted in and stayed as the end of the tour party was happening afterwards. As Patti walked onto the stage a few feet away it was kinda like seeing an old friend again but when she burst into Queens "Don't Stop Me Now" every thought just left your head to be replaced by "Damn she can sing", I know we already knew that but when she's inches away from you you really get an understanding of just how amazing her voice is. It takes about three seconds before you're away with her singing along, her stage presence and personality is infectious and you're along for the ride. Stories mingle with songs, interactions with the audience ride alongside pisstaking between the band and you've no choice but to really admit that this lady is as near as damn it perfect. I've remembered the jokes and forgotten the Italian swearing which is somewhat arse about face as the swearing was brilliant and a stand up career does not await Patti lol. A few highlights, by no means all of them Black Velvet - I love this song, blown four sets of speakers to it but never heard it like that, bloody amazing. Bible and a Beer - Probably the best known of her songs was sung to perfection, loved the story behind her bible copy (Are You Thirsty? - see pick below). One Door Opens - nearly had me in tears, the emotion Patti puts into this is mind blowing, ditto for Here We Are. Dead Ringer, brilliant, loved the Cher impression!!!!! And John Partridge came on stage, him and Patti just seemed to bounce off each other, excellent!!!! (And he phoned my babysitter afterwards). It was over way too quickly but I'm taking so much away with from this show that the memories will stay with me for a long time, my biggest fear is that I'll not see her perform a show like this again because it truly was awesome. It has to be said that more than anything last night just reinforced my opinion of how much I will miss this lady if I see Meat perform again, irreplaceable. A few pics.................. ("Borrowed") Bible and a Beer http://media.mlxxfc.net/Patti Russo 1 043.JPG Don't Stop Me Now http://media.mlxxfc.net/Patti Russo 1 030.JPG |

Perhaps Spike would consider having Patti as a permanent (and only) front woman for the SAS band. I don't see how you can top Patti in stage presence and singing ability. Competition closed. Star found in my opinion.
|
I heard several fans say Patti would be a brilliant opening act for the upcoming Queen tour.
She was magnificent! Monstro said it perfectly. |

Queen with Patti as lead vocalist would have been an absolutely amazing tour. Patti as opening act for Queen or any big selling artist would be a good way to get Patti's music out there for the massess.
|
|
Patti will be on Johnnie Walker BBC Radio 2 this Sunday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04359y8
|
When I left work on Thursday I saw someone wearing a Patti tour t-shirt...had to do a double take but that was awesome to see.
|

I never really go for merch / t shirts but the 3 shows I went to really were some of the most memorable I've seen, especially after knowing how much effort and dedication Patti put into the shows in the light of uncertainty. I wish I could do something to help her solo career sky rocket. I guess the only thing I can hope for is someone with some serious cash does the right thing here soon. |
Hopefully the EPs and t-shirts will soon be available to buy through a website (or the songs on iTunes).

What are the chances
Today is my Birthday. So I had a few drinks after work and then went to Pizza Express with the girlfriend - and guess who is sitting on the table next to me. right there in Shepherds Bush Pizza Express was Patti Russo - I'm not one to usually approach people but this time I felt i had too - I waited until she had finished her meal and said a quick hello, she was lovely, She couldn't believe I knew who she was and even thought that the people she was with had set something up- she even briefly sang me happy Birthday- What a special moment for me. Magical. I wont go into the details of the little chat we had but i wish her all the luck, I get the feeling we wont see her on stage with Meat again which makes me sad indeed (i told her that) but you can never say never. She's so extremely talented and deserves all the success in the world.
