the real problem is IMO that you cant tell if somebodys just signed on to rant about a bad show and piss everyone off or wants to post their honest opinion about a show...

Anyway, I'm ranting....
On topic:
Im not a big fan of TDE, the singing sounds dull and emotionless to me. Compare Jonty's link to Mr Steinman's vocal/piano demo of still the children and you see what I mean.
ANd I stick to that opinion, even after I got hatemail from Rob Evan himself for voicing it

I for one am not a big Rob Evan fan, at least not of him doing Steinmusic, but I very much appreciate these two little videos.

The thing I meant was that Meat get's critisized all the time for his singing, etc, and SOME people take it VERY personally and flame the person who maybe just wanted to state their honest opinion.
In this case the Meat Loaf fans are critisizing the video of other performers in the same way. Neither of those comments were meant in an absuive way, so the people who take Meat Loaf's critisizm personally, and at the same time critisize other artists in the same way should see that it's all in all not a big deal and only opinions. Either way. So next time they should remember their comments on this video and not jump on the first person to make a negative comment about Meat Loaf.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Neither of your comments, with the exception of the sentence mentioning Rob Evan, belong in this thread. In fact this is a pretty successful trolling attempt, (intentionally?) turning the thread into an argument about something which clearly isn't the thread topic.

Stop the beating-a-dead-horse-discussion and continue on the threads topic, please.

Well, now I've listened to Still The Children...no wonder I've forgotten it...

But I am still a great fan of Elaine Caswell and she is still amazing!

How does taking a clip that's easily available on the internet and then putting it on Youtube suddenly make it legal?

I understand what you were trying to say but you was kinda doing it in ass-backwards fashion. I'm guessing you're trying to say is, honest opinions are a one way street with some people?

Pud

that hits it.

The Flying Mouse 07 Oct 2008 09:28

 RJ, what you are suggesting is that the people who are posting negative comments on this thread are people who flame anyone with a negative opinion of Meat.

I posted earlier on the thread...............

That still stands.
I do not see anyone on this thread who is giving criticism to Rob Evan who is not willing to allow others to give criticism to Meat.

Look at the people who have posted negativities on this thread (it's not a very long list).
Who on this thread has got a history of flaming other people for giving honest opinions?

So the point you are trying to make is in completely the wrong place.

And by saying..............

you ARE saying that the people on THIS thread are guilty of hypocritical behavior.
IMHO that is unfair, inaccurate, and insulting

You've seen it once, here it is again..............

alright alright, I apologize.

What I was posting was not necessarily aimed at anyone posting in this thread, it's just something that came to my mind while reading it.

But as I'm not supposed to talk about this, I'll shut up now :silence:
