dont think that's a possiblity as the rights to those clips (hell, if they even exist!) would be owned by someone completely different than the rockpalast footage.

I dont even think that the descision to release this came from Meat. It's all in the hands of who owns the rights. In this case it would be one of the German public broadcasting stations, who were responsible for recording/airing. As it was recorded in Offenbach, HR would mostly be likely. Although it could be that by now Rockpalast have their own distribution company. (not sure on that one)

What the hell are you talking about? Are you suggesting that any clip featuring Jim can't be shown?

RadioMaster 19 Jun 2009 21:57

'course not. I'm saying the people who are gonna publish the rockpalast dvd probably wont have the rights to put the Jim clips from Hudson Theater on there as well.

Realized I was confusing this with Live At The Bottom Line that was taped in NYC, but as this is filmed in Germany but has more or less the same set list I can be forgiven for mixing it up .

i always mix this up with the 1982 rockpop concert cause of the name differences.

RadioMaster 19 Jun 2009 22:04

not easy to mix up actually...one is outstanding, the other one is utter crap (imho of course;))

MeatGrl1 19 Jun 2009 22:05

Personally I don't think any concert Meat's done is crap exactly but there is one that I never want to relive again, those who were at it know exactly what I am talking about :(.

RadioMaster 19 Jun 2009 22:05

 There is not much chance of the show you're talking about ever being released on DVD :wtf:

MeatGrl1 19 Jun 2009 22:10

Oh was that when he was drunk ?

Think I saw a song from that and he did sound out of tune , thought I would never say that but he did, is that the one your talking about RJ ?

yea RAH sucked from what everyone says :D

Pudding 19 Jun 2009 22:14

Why's it difficult for some fans to accept that Meat has done some crap shows? I'm sure Meat himself would be the first to admit that not every show he's done has been great or even good and he has had some crap gigs. He does his best, but at the end of the day he's only human.

I've never heard of such a thing. Do you have any more details?

Though I agree with Pud, I'm sure Meat HAS done crap gigs, certainly what he himself would consider crap ones, of the type of gigs you are talking about there were in fact TWO. Both of which I was not at but certainly made me feel extremely sad. I'm glad he has bounced back and as ForCryingOutLoud put it: Jesus came back to life once.., so what?! Meat Loaf does this on every tour... :))

If there is any info on a release date I would appreciate a post/thread on this forum rather than a PM sent to a single individual. Lol. :))
