It's not a montage but here you go:

Rock And Roll Dreams from The History Of Meat Loaf Live:
YouTube Video

This is the best quality version I can find on Youtube. Why on earth would the Red Ponies take those down and leave the shitty ones up?

Heaven Can Wait from The Netherlands:
YouTube Video

Just pop the Live Around The World CD in and there's a good chance you'll hear something from the Hudson Theater show!

Because its the best, or because Jim's involved ? (Or both ?)

I think some people here are ambivalent towards Jim (but not me), so maybe its not so clear cut...

I had a really good quality rrd from History of ML Live up and a couple hudson stuff. Thats something I can upload real quick.

Because it's the best in my opinion. The History Of Meat Loaf Live show is great, but Meat sounds even better during the Hudson Theater show, plus there were more songs performed and Meat didn't screw up the second verse of Anything For Love. As I said earlier the History show is the one most likely to get released though, which I wouldn't be opposed to.

Oh I see - RRD on Live Around The World IS actually from the Hudson Theatre. Here was I believing that Live Around The World was ACTUALLY recorded in different locations around the world as it were. So it doesn't do what it says on the tin - how could I be taken in all these years !

Wario 19 Jan 2011 01:08

paul youre most likely correct.

BTW, this is what makes a poll void:

I said good chance, not 100% chance! RARD is from the tour rehearsals somewhere in NYC, July 1993.

You Took The Words
Two Out Of Three
Heaven Can Wait
Objects In The Rear View Mirror
Paradise
Wasted Youth

are all definitely from the Hudson Theater. A couple of the other songs might be, but that is only guesswork.

Ok, I recognise Wario's uploaded Objects from LATW, also before Heaven Can Wait on LATW Meat introduces '... Mr Jim Steinman ... we'd like to do Heaven Can Wait' and Wasted Youth is definitely done by Jim, and the last time Meat and Jim performed together live was at Hudson - so I think I'm following your logic!

You do wonder why they bothered with the 'Live Around The World' malarkey when its mostly Hudson.

BTW this version of Objects is (of course) out of this world.

Do Love Toronto, but...

I am deeply sorry that there seems to be no footage of the Dec 2, 1994 concert at Wembley. Lucky enough to be there and it was Awesome! Also, a recording of a Flushing Meadow performance exists (Buslowe, Goffs, Bobby era), but mine was stolen by a stinking thief! I have no idea why no commercial videos--ah, DVDs were made of Bat II show. Too bad!!:(

You utter swine. I was awarded a mighty infaction notice for using the above phrase, undirected and innocent as it was, the other day. Okay, you can scratch innocent.

As for the video - there's a nice clear version of AFL from the Picture Show stuff on youtube somewhere. Gets my vote every time. Time for a re-release!

Doode.

You get infraction points for poetic, elevated posts, too? :lmao:

Having managed to get my hands on a copy of Hudson, if the RARD from Hudson is not on LATW then its very, very similar ... also I think AFL is definitely from Hudson with just added crowd noise at the beginning, and Frying Pan .

Evil One 13 Feb 2011 23:40

This is an arguement I've had many times with WarioLoaf :bleh:. The Anything For Love on LATW and the one from the Hudson Theater bootleg (that also featured on the Bat 2 special edition and a couple of B-sides) is not the same song. Listen carefully and you will spot differences. It is entirely possible that it does come from the Hudson Theater though, as Meat played there for a couple of nights in a row.

Rock And Roll Dreams is the same performance as was featured on one of the Bat 2 singles as a B-side, but mixed differently/better. For some reason they cut out the ooo-ooo's from the intro, but added in extra drums for the ending. All the Bat 2 b-sides have their performance date listed as July 1993 which would place them at the Bat 2 tour rehearsals, as would the crowd of about 3 people! The Hudson Theater shows were in September 1993, so I guess they would sound similar.

I don't understand why they chose to reuse that particular Rock And Roll Dreams, as I think it's the weakest song on the album.

So now I'm going to have to syncronise both and listen to them simultaneously ! It would make sense if it were Hudson, but a different night, given the apparent similarities.

Evil One 13 Feb 2011 23:59

I'll save you time! Go to the second verse and Meat's 'ANY THING FOR LO-OVE' bit. They're not the same. :wtf:
