I think I fourth something....but my attention is short today :) Anyway, if it has to do with not caring where the DVD is filmed so long as it is done and released timely. That's where my vote lies. I'm not picky at all. However, the bonus commentary of the performance by Meat would be welcomed with open arms.

yeah, the commentary track was one of the best things about the MSO dvd.

I wouldn't say a petition is agressive personally; I hope we do get a DVD of this tour he was mindblowing when I saw him it'd be great to be able to relieve that as well as hearing the whole album live

RSG 30 Apr 2011 23:37

maybe after 'Hell' ? If they decide to tour.. :) Totally on Meat and his team at the end of the day. But if they decide to tour, a DVD would be good than. The past couple DVDs have centered on many of the older hits. He could possibly come out with a set list that contains more newer songs. And a 'Masculine' for Wario ;)

you all joke and kid, but fact of the matter is if he did add masculine back into the set after 21 years, itd be a welcome addition in everyone's eyes.... and a bannage for me :))

RSG 01 May 2011 00:07

'California' sounds 80's ;) But you know what, I'd stand around and here how he'd interpret it today! Masculine that is. Didn't Patti contribute to a live concert with this song. That would be amazing.

Well I for one DO care where it is filmed as it most certainly has an influence on how good the show, atmosphere, setting, and how good the crowd interaction and response all are. I find it crazy to suggest it doesn't matter. :?
A dvd from RAH would have blown the 3 bats straight out of the water for example, even though the show was a bit shorter.

I'd agree many of the US casino shows wouldn't be the best choice, with rows of disaffected high rollers strolling in and out, and high-fiving each other over jokes they're sharing. The Royal Albert Hall is indeed a wonderful venue, and the atmosphere that night was electrifying, but I can understand why Meat wouldn't have chosen to record and use that concert, and it's unlikely now imo to be a candidate for the next DVD should we get one.

However, the atmosphere on the MSO was great, and should Meat release another DVD from a show in Oz it wouldn't be absurd at all in my view. I think Meat is savvy enough to select a venue which will provide the level of audience enthusiasm that makes for a good recording. To me it doesn't matter which country it might be filmed in.

yep she did, during the live rehearsal concert during the summer '93 before the September opening sweep at hudson theater and Canada with jim.

If Lemon never existed, mascuine would've been in the Bat 2 shows and probably the WTTN shows! Meat only had it in the set cause it was his only real "rocker" at the time, until Lemon and Louder came in that is. Louder's a rocker too, but he always had that at the end of the bat 2 sets, and lemon was towards the beginning, like Masculine was.

so in a sense, "Break It" is the 2011 equivalent of Masculine.

Well you're righ tand wrong. Just anywhere isn't good, but you said not another show in Oz.

Melbourne had great atmosphere, Id love another Australia DVD for atmosphere reasons ;)

I agree. And if you look to recent concert DVD's from all different artists, it seems that the ones recorded in the Netherlands always are great. So Meat needs to quickly come to the Netherlands for a show, this month or so.:twisted:

Although Meat is great it took quite some time before the crowd got into the concert. For me crowd atmosphere is also important and Melbourne didn't have the best crowd. I also think that the show should be recorded in a 'non-seated' venue. It bores the freaking hell out of me when I see all these people in their chairs while Meat is rocking the ceiling of a building.

So I agree with Andrew, not another Australia DVD. Perhaps a German or English show (or Dutch as I mentioned above )

DVD's are great but come on guys, there's NOTHING like seeing Meat live! I'd prefer that any day

This is true, but you can't go and see Meat Loaf every day :P

If Meat had done the same show as the ones I saw on the UK tour in let's say the Ahoy, Meat's reputation in The Netherlands would have been completely restored. In addition had that particular show then been recorded and released on DVD/Blu Ray it would have been the biggest come back on record since Bat 2. ;-)
