If that means you'll be ended with touring it would be very sad for us :( But never will it be like you were never there. You have filled stages with your presence far too often for it not to live on in our memories, and it would seem deafeningly silent and empty without you.

I too hope it's a reaction to the post you quoted. Your vocals have been marvellous the past couple of tours. And at every show you do during the next year there will be thousands who leave delighted, with another evening of something very special to hold dear.

You sing .. and thousands of hearts beat faster, thousands of faces are wreathed in happy smiles, thousands of voices join you .. many woefully out of key but filled with joy as they rock along with you :-)

That wasn't a particularly nice way to break it to all the LOYAL AND DEDICATED fans on this forum, if that is what was being implied. Yet again, ONE negative post gets all the attention! What about all of us who have been supporting Meat for decades? Do we even exist???

I know that you love what you're doing and you do it with passion... If you decide to quit one day i'll respect your decision but when that happens...honestly...I will miss you !!! yep !! same old stuff. I can get insulted all over the internet , but I just come here when I need a good insult. So it will really hurt my feelings . You have to go to a place where it says Fan Club for it to hurt like it should. I always know some one will have a good one here. Let me say this to all who say positive things I really thank you, you don't go unnoticed . Hope I can always live up to

This means a lot to read. At least we don't go unnoticed. I was hoping some of the positive comments would offset the negative enough to help keep you here and actively post. It's just never watered down enough to keep your feelings from getting hurt here. It's frustrating.

Meat..you kick ass in whatever you do and I mean that from the bottom of my heart! I also know a fan site you can go to where its nothing but positive vibes towards you ...oops did I say that!!! Lol

Well.....the review was mostly ok, but what s**t me about it was when Joe said about "The sound recording is spot on, and while at times he may struggle to the hit the notes". Struggle to hit the notes??? Meat sang pretty bloody well in the Hunter Valley, and concert performances aren't suppose to sound polished and note perfect. What a tosser!
Then we go to this statement "Meat Loaf is not as energetic as he once was but still holds a commanding presence". Well excuse me but Meat puts on a f***ing good show regardless of what energy he puts into it ;) For the young age of 64 he's still got it in my books :)
Otherwise the review wasn't too bad ;)

Everyone has there own opinion and way of looking at things ;) If some people want to look at every aspect of the dvd and compare it to previous ones, then that is fine ;) As long as it is constructive critisism and that there is respect shown towards Meat in doing so ;)

As for "my only wish is that The Giving Tree and Mad Mad World had been included"......impossible to add something to an Australian tour dvd if the songs weren't released world wide. That is why we only had Stand in the Storm, which imo was the more appropriate song to have in the dvd ;)

I will have to give you a positive cyber kick up the ass mate lol, as to me and many many many others here you are awesome :) You truely are and will always be an inspiration to me, your music will always keep me going, and I do hope and pray that your strength, courage and enthusiasm brings you back to Australia for another tour. DON'T YOU EVER STOP ROCKING!!! Lol, a classic scene from your concert that always makes me laugh, which you may have to use on those with no respect for you is the good old middle finger and say well f**k off! ;) You don't need to hurt, and shouldn't be made to. KEEP ON ROCKING!!! :)

I've been a fan of yours for about 14 years and I have never been disappointed in any of your work, and you have quite frequentely exceeded them by a great deal. I went to one of your shows almost two years ago and I was expecting to enjoy it but I left with a 'WOW' feeling that I don't honestly believe that any other performer will manage to beat.

I've heard wonderful things about your shows this summer and what fine voice you're in and there's lots of people saying it too. :-)

I've never been disappointed in anything you've done and I know that there are 1000's of people as psyched for the DVD as I am! Just looking at your facebook page the amount of loyal fans waiting to see your shows and heap well deserved praise on you. Sadly there are people who focus on the negatives out there and even more annoyingly people tend to be more forthcoming with dislike rather than praise. We love you Meat so please don't retire yet :(

Sadly not everyone has the skill of doing this, so the person being criticised will understandably feel this way:

I think the positive comments outweigh the insults, and I believe you do too, but I also understand that it's the insults that hit home and hurt. They would to most of us imo.

I know you notice ;) You give so much, your "all" is so much greater than so many performers. And that doesn't go unnoticed either, as you must see at the end of every show when you look out at that audience standing on its feet, cheering and willing you to never leave the stage, because you have fully lived up to all their expectations, and for many like me, somehow managed to exceed them :D Long may you have that energy and determination, because you make the world a better place for being such a vital part of it.
