Last Year I bought an CD-Box called "Rock n' Roll Hero", which included all Songs from Bad Attitude, Blind Before I Stop and Live at Wembley '87, and payed 13 €.
It ain't the Albums, but all the songs, and im completly satisfied. As you are from Germany too, if looked up the german amazon link http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASI...891676-2221636 Maybe this could be the right thing for you. |
What a crazy assed tracklisting that is. It's well worth the money but it's almost as if having Meat playing on random. Weird stuff.

Well...I suggest you click on the link, look at the tracklisting and see if the songs are duplicated from your collection.
I personally wouldn't buy it. Pud  |

Those tracks will be exactly the same as on BA, BFIS and Live, just in a completely different order. Arista has released these tracks in many different collections over the years, I think the originals are all you will need. I agree if there were some B sides or outtakes it would certainly be "collectable".

Well, this box is uesless for you if you already own the Albums, but I only had them on LP, so it was a cheap opportunity to get these tracks on CD.

Makes sense to me too - thank you all for your help.

Definitely get 'Rock And Roll Hero' if it's the version with BA and BBIS. The productions of the B.A. songs are really different to what you hear on the album. It just sounds different.. more louder, more refined

Ok...I went to look on Amazon for this album - just to take a look at it - god know, it ain't expensive to keep a full collection. But now I am completely confused...it appears to be that there are more than one editions of this album??? 2 available ones look like have the same tracks but different album covers? Is that the only difference? Thank you all!

Blind before I stop is one of my favourite albums to be honest, I know that must shock a lot of people, but I think it fitted in well with how musical styles were at that time.
Albums with a big production like the ones Meat makes with Jim Steinman were extremely unfasionable by 1987, so all in all I love Blind before I stop, I think its a great album and very under estimated. |

Youīve got an interessting nick, donīt you? Oh, i forgot something:    ;-) |
Thanx, I'm glad you like my nick name.
I took it from the song One more kiss (night of the soft parade) cause thats one of my all time favourite Meat Loaf songs and theres a connection to my last real name as its Knight so there ya go! I used to pray it would be a single here in the UK but they released Getting away with murder instead, our UK record companies haven't got a clue, they can't see a hit single if it jumped up and bit them on the nose. I was amazed noone else used night of the soft parade when I attempted to register to be honest as I didn't try anything else. |

The rest of the album actually in my opinion is very good, its ironic cause I personally think Getting away with murder is the weakest track, and to think the UK record companies released it as a single here, it wasen't a hit needless to say, but yeah buy the album cause it really is very under estimated to me. Highlights are: One more kiss (night of the soft parade) Burning down Special Girl Execution day Blind before I stop Man and a woman Rock & roll mercenaries Masculine Slightly weaker tracks: Getting away with murder Standing on the outside Rock & roll hero But I love them all to be honest, its probably my favourite album apart from Midnight at the lost and found, I used to think that was the best until I heard Blind before I stop, so there it just proves what some people don't like others really adore! The UK singles taken from Blind before I stop by the way were: Rock'n'roll mercenaries. Getting away with murder. Special girl Blind before I stop And all in that order of release as far as I remember, and there was a live version of Masculine brought out as a double a sided single with a live version of Bat out of hell which was released in late 1987 also which I have as a 12inch vinyl. |
