AndyK 04 May 2006 15:31

The greatest team in football the world has ever seen, and it's Leeds United, Leeds United FC :))

How many times have you been to Highbury?

Hypnobabe 04 May 2006 15:37

Never, I'm ashamed to say..... My mother would never let me go when I was little, and then I married a succession of men (well two) who are not in the least bit interested in football... My step-dad works for the company that are building the new stadium tho', so I've seen the blueprints for it...

What's your least favourite household chore?

AndyK 04 May 2006 15:41

(6 :)) )
Hoovering, it's just so dull, and you can't hear the music like you can when you iron.

If you could run away and join the circus, what would you do when you got there?

Hypnobabe 04 May 2006 15:43

I'd be the ring-mistress... get to boss everyone about and play with lions and tigers...

How's your singing voice?

AndyK 04 May 2006 15:44

It's fine thank you, recovered nicely after last weekend. Mind you it's still slightly out of tune, but that never stops me.

I note you didn't mention the boots and the whip that come with that job, why not?

Hypnobabe 04 May 2006 15:47

Okay, I'll admit, the boots, whip and fishnet tights are just a little bit appealing... never fancied being a trapeze artist (I don't like heights) or clown, and I'm a bit too intelligent to be eye candy...

Is there anything you would like people to think you're really good at when you secretly know you're rubbish at it?

AndyK 04 May 2006 15:57

Can't think of anything right now, if I want to be really good at it, then I try really hard to be good at it, and if I'm not I'll admit it openly.

Is it better to live to fight another day?

Chris 04 May 2006 19:52

Most certainly it is.

Have you ever considered moving abroad and if so, where to?

mszee 04 May 2006 19:58

Yes, to Ireland because I've read too much of contemporary Irish literature and somehow it seemed like a Paradise...but, of course, Paradise is a place where we currently don't reside...

Besides ML, which artist that is currently not on tour would you like to be on one?

AndyK 05 May 2006 09:39

Hmmm, well since my other two favourites (Springsteen and the Stones) are touring at the moment this is tricky. Perhaps U2, since I missed them last time round - darn work :(

If you could play any musical instrument (above any that you can play at the moment) what would it be?

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 11:15

Piano - it's on my list of things to learn, along with riding a horse

What's the most extravagant romantic gesture you've ever made?

AndyK 05 May 2006 11:19

Since when was a horse a musical instrument?

Hmmm, engagement ring or three quarters of a car.

Does it have to be extravagant to be romantic?

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 11:25

Hmmm.... No, I suppose something simple like a picnic or a moonlight stroll can be equally romantic...

Quote:

Three quarters of a car....? How does that work then?

AndyK 05 May 2006 11:28

It's the difference between the trade in value of the old car and the purchase price of the new one ...

What's the most romantic gesture (extravagant or not) you've ever made?

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 11:42

Depends on your definition of romantic, I've sent flowers to my husband, I've left another man for him, I've had his babies.... If he's late home from work, I'll always wait and eat with him... We always hold hands...

What's the best birthday present you've ever had, and how old were you?

AndyK 05 May 2006 11:50

I'm hoping it will be the rally driving day I got this year, but I've not been on it yet, and I was 38 (still am in fact)

How long can you concentrate for before getting distracted?

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 11:53

Huh?

What colour is your bedroom?

AndyK 05 May 2006 11:56

Russety, Orangey, Reddy, Browny (I'm slightly colour blind so it could actually be blue for all I know)

Where did you surf before you found mlukfc?

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 12:05

Newquay... :lmao:

Actually nowhere in particular, I just spent lots of time chatting online with my mates.

What's your favourite flower?

AndyK 05 May 2006 12:12

A white rose.

Would you live in central London? Why (or why not)?

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 12:14

Nope, I like my lungs with air in them rather than pollution...

What's the farthest away from home you've ever been?

AndyK 05 May 2006 12:20

Just west of Los Angeles ... we'd taken off from LAX and flew out over the Pacific for a few minutes before turning NE to come home.

What was the last DVD you bought? Give us a review of it in exactly 15 words.

Hypnobabe 05 May 2006 12:23

I bought a bunch, but the last one I watched that was newly bought was The Saint....

A story of mystery, intrigue, desire, disguise, starring Val Kilmer, Elisabeth Shue and cold fusion.

Where would you take children on a day out?

AndyK 05 May 2006 12:25

The beach, that way you could bury them easily if they became too annoying.

Who was the last person who rang you?

Chris 05 May 2006 14:16

Last call from someone i didn;t know was a nice Indian lady in a call centre wanting me to change my mobile phone.
Last call from someone I know was my mate wanting to know if she was driving us to the pub tonight (of course she is!!)

Q. Would you rather work saturday adn have a day off midweek or vice versa?

ChloeLee88 05 May 2006 14:28

No i'd rather have saturday off....everybody always goes out on saturaday and i cant go because im working!

If its a nice sunny day...like today here...would yourather walk home...or catch a lift??

L96 05 May 2006 15:42

Catch a lift, for sure... bung BOOH on and drive, baby, driiiiiiive.....

Given the choice, would you choose manual labour, or a mentally/emotionally intense job?

AndyK 08 May 2006 10:32

I'd take the latter, saving the physical hardwork for recreation. The mental/emotional intensity brings with it a greater instensity of rewards (and I don't just mean financial).

Who's your all time hero? (An anser of Meat Loaf is unaccpetable, think of someone else :)) )

dottie 08 May 2006 10:58

Nelson Mandela - showed such fortitude and faith during his long years of imprisonment, and still managed to smile on his release.....

Which politician do you favour the most - past or present and why?

AndyK 08 May 2006 10:59

and your follow up question is ... ?

dottie 08 May 2006 11:06

this one AndyK:roll:

AndyK 09 May 2006 12:06

Politician ... hmm can't say any of them really gain my favour, although Patsy Calton did a good job where I used to live and she agreed with me about the idiots who parked badly on my road.

Are there too many of the wrong type of programmes repeated on TV?

Gez 09 May 2006 20:11

Is Elvis really the king??

Are people really affected by a full moon ?

AndyK 10 May 2006 09:39

Since such a high percentage of our body is water, and the mooon affects the tides I beleive that, it's a pretty safe bet that we are indeed affected by the waxing and waning of the moon to some extent.

Tell us something that will surprise us about you?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 12:59

I have a GCSE in Latin translation.

If you could go to see any concert, anywhere in the world, at any time past or present, who would you see, where and why?

AndyK 10 May 2006 13:03

It would be the famous Cleveland Records convention when Meat brought the house down ... why? Well it's oibvious isn't it?

What's your most embarassing moment?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 13:15

Where are my whoops of amazement for my surprising fact about myself?

When I was 15, I worked in a chemist's shop, and one very hot summer's evening, I came out of work, standing by the front doors while my boss locked up, and whipped off my overall (a white coat like the ones doctors wear) having forgotten I didn't have a skirt on, only a little skimpy t-shirt...

What's yours?

AndyK 10 May 2006 13:27

Sorry, I was speech-less with amazement :))

Mine involves the presentation of an A0 poster to me, in front of assembled family, friends and acquaintences a few years ago ... this poster depicts the new moon that was sighted over Harrogate on the night of Live Aid in 1985, Live Aid also coincided with one of my brothers stag nights, along with the inverted grinning (slightly squiffy) face of the moons owner ...

What's your favourite pizza?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 13:29

Domino's Full House

What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?

AndyK 10 May 2006 13:33

Goat ... but I never dared ask which part of a goat

Have you ever been a vegetarian?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 13:36

Never intentionally, but I think I'd do okay if it became illegal to eat meat tomorrow (that's meat as in flesh from dead things, not necessarily Meat, if you get what I mean....)

What was your first paid employment?

AndyK 10 May 2006 13:41

Depends what you count as employment? Paper Round? First proper part time job was shelf stacker in Tesco's and then moved through a collection of bizarre roles towards IT management (think the paper round might have been the best option, Chris seems to manage ok with his!)

What is the most bizarre job you've had?

Chris 10 May 2006 13:46

Running web admin for an "adult club" in coventry while at uni. They advertised on the uni noticeboards for a HTML programmer and I applied. Some of the emails people sent in were positiviely weird!!

Q. What do you think is the most bizarre song lyric ever written?

AndyK 10 May 2006 14:01

Sitting in a sleazy snack bar sucking sickly sausage rolls.

WHat would get your vote?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:12

Have you ever been arrested, and if so, what for?

AndyK 10 May 2006 14:18

Never arrested no.

If you could play the drums, which Meat Loaf song would you want to be the drummer on?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:21

What do you mean if? I have a Grade 3 in percussion, thank you very much....

It'd have to be You Took The Words...

Have you ever been given a tacky holiday souvenir?

AndyK 10 May 2006 14:24

Well I didn't know that did I?

Oh yes, I have a Stena Line ferrie teddy bear key ring somewhere, provided to me by mini-she-who-thinks-she-must-be-obeyed, who has now been trained to hand her spending money over to an adult for use in the duty free shop.

How old were you when you passed your driving test?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:25

Seventeen years, six months and one day old... I was determined to pass within six months of starting, but the test date came through a day too late.

Did you pass first time?

AndyK 10 May 2006 14:38

No. But, in my defence no one else passed with that examiner in her first two months in the job and she was subsequently sent back to training school and my retest fee was refunded.

Did you pass first time?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:41

Absolutely. And I've never had an accident or insurance claim, either. Mind you, as I'm only seventeen and a half.... lol....

Who (from the forum) would you choose to replace you in your job?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:42

(so you can go onto bigger and better things, obviously...)

AndyK 10 May 2006 14:46

Which job? The one I do at work or the one I do here? It would have to be Fred, unless anyone else wants to apply, the last person who asked to become a mod was Steve6 ...

When was the last time you were jealous, and why?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:49

Quote:

What's the salary like?

The last time I was jealous was about thirty seconds ago, when I realise you would give your job to Fred instead of me...

Are you now (or have you ever been) married?

AndyK 10 May 2006 14:51

Less than pitiful, (you know the saying pay peanuts, get monkeys?) but the free coffee is fantastic (when Ankie remembers to turn up and make it)

No and yes.

Which film would you most like to have taken the leading role in?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 14:54

Hmmm... difficult to say... my favourites are The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and Schindler's List, and there aren't really any leading female roles in any of those.... I suppose anything that involved snogging either Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise or Johnny Depp (sorry Tink...)

Who's your favourite author?

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:04

Iain Banks

What's your least favourite film?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 15:07

hmmm... the Austin Powers ones, probably, I've never felt even slightly tempted to watch them!

Who's your favourite mythical character?

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:13

Aragorn.

If you had to be one, which member of the Spice Girls would you be and why?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 15:23

Mel C, 'cos at least she doesn't have a voice like a sack of cats scratching a blackboard

If you had to be a member of Take That, which one etc etc

(and just by the by, is Aragorn mythical or fantastical?)

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:29

From what I've read he's got enough roots in mythology to be mythical, but since you're being pedantic ... Achilles

Robbie ... at least I wouldn't have to tour with the rest of them this time round ...

What did you last dream about?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 15:33

Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo.... Have I entered the Twilight Zone? That was going to be my very next question....

I can't remember, not been sleeping very well lately...

What's your most secret guilty pleasure?

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:37

I can't tell you it's a secret ... and I'm not sure you have the correct clearances :)) Also it would depend on who it's a secret from ...

Why aren't you sleeping well?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 15:40

Many and varied reasons, not least of all it's something I do every now and then, my hubby's got a cold and is snoring a lot, and my eczema's playing up and itching all night.

What's your favourite Disney film?

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:44

Dumbo, love that big eared elephant!

Since the sun is shining should I head for the beer garden this evening?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 15:51

I think taking beer into the garden is a better idea, it's cheaper and you don't have so far to stagger home, nor do you have the problem of how to get the bike back.

Should I go out on my bike tonight or take said beer into said garden?

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:54

Well, since the beer garden is only 5 minutes walk from home and can be visited on the way back fro walking the hound, I don't think it's a problem.

Take the bike out, it's lonely and needs some company and this solution will also ensure that I remain jealousy free for the next 2 hours.

What's the fastest you've ever driven?

Hypnobabe 10 May 2006 15:55

The fastest I've ever driven myself was in my Peugeot 206cc - 120mph. The fastest I've ever been driven was in an Aston Martin DB7 (yummy!) - 145mph.

Are you a speed demon?

AndyK 10 May 2006 15:58

What makes you ask that? Yes, guess I am. Although give me a windy road rather than a drag strip anyday.

If you didn't have the first name you already have, what would you choose to be called?

Hypnobabe 16 May 2006 15:50
