Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It's still an awesome film, and definitely the best of the four. It does bug me slightly though how Marcus Brody has become such a bumbling idiot.

The German stuff looks pretty authentic, though I'm not sure about the Russian uniforms and the trucks and I don't know if the Soviet air force used American Corsairs (easily recognizable by the bent wings).

Last movies I saw:

Sherlock Holmes and the Spider Woman (an episode of the 1940s series with Basil Rathbone)

and

R-Point (pretty good South Korean horror flick)

Sherlock Holmes, which led me to Air America... (connection being Robert Downey Jr was in both, in case you were wondering...)

I quite enjoyed it, thought it was a bit slow in places but had a clever twist at the end

The Naked Gun

"Season Of The Witch", starring Nicolas Cage. Really liked it, had some great FX and CGI's. :))

Lost Boys..just love that film

Bubbles 27 Jan 2011 20:22

Under Suspicion starring Gene Hackman as a rich lawyer and Morgan Freeman as the detective interrogating him. Very good and intense film with an unusual ending.

Black Swan, the infamous new film with Natalie Portman. If I called Under Suspicion intense then this is hyperintense ;) very possibly my new favourite film ever, really really good. Has anyone from here seen it? I did some research and apparently the opinions range from "I hate it" to "Brilliant. Hope she'll get the oscar shes nominated for

Boys don't cry with Hilary Swanck, she was very convincing and definitely deserved the oscar. Touching film, that one

Rocky Horror Picture Show. It is always a great movie to watch.

F.I.S.T

another all too rare example of Stallone being a good actor.

The King's Speech

It was fantastic and quite funny though Geoffery Rush will only be Captain Barbossa to me now LOL !!

Evil One 05 Feb 2011 22:28

Licensed To Kill. Timmy Dalton really is a charisma free zone!

Hypnobabe 06 Feb 2011 10:40

Not a movie, I know, but we've really gotten into Boardwalk Empire on the new Sky Atlantic channel...

Lol - did he help the King by leaping out from behind statues and going "Aaaargh"?

You didn't work it out? I saw it coming a mile off, but I still enjoyed the film nonetheless. In fact, most things with Denzel are watchable. Gary Oldman too, for that matter.

Yes, although he was much more like Fleming's Bond from the novels and short stories than any who had played him previously.

I watched the first episode the other night, so have two recorded still to see. So far it's not bad but we'll see how it goes.

The anti-hero with a heart of gold thing has been done to death in shows recently.

I saw Black Swan the other day, really good and worth seeing. I like Aronofsky's work, especially in The Wrestler.

The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex

Quite entertaining and visually impressive. Don't know if the movie was originally shot in black and white and colored and restored later as it is from 1939. It looked pretty good for its age. Nice colors and costumes. I would have liked to see more battle scenes though.
