If I'd been on a bike I wouldn't have been able to do what I just did! Parked up at Tesco and the wind picked up, sending my red car door into the lovely silver one next to it :(

least it was the other car damaged lol

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 17:41

I'm in a K reg diesel 106 - I honestly can't tell if my car is damaged or not

Monstro 05 Dec 2007 17:56

and what do you call this one?

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 18:27

First there was Meat the Metro, and then Meat the Micra...so this is Patti the Peugeot

Admit nothing... :bleh:

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 18:37

I forgot to mention that there were two men sitting in the silver car when it happened...otherwise I'd have parked elsewhere!

mszee 05 Dec 2007 19:09

Reminds me of my first tight parking experience...argh...

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:16

I don't even have that excuse! Perfectly fine car park, just windy and the door flew out of my hand...done now though, nothing I can do about it so no use worrying....

Not about that anyway...what to wear?!!!! :panic:

mszee 05 Dec 2007 19:18

Well, if it makes you feel better (which I know it won't) my car door blew a few times closing on my hair the other day...THAT was painful...

Wear nothing but a huge pair of earrings and heels...that should do it...

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:20

Ohh ouch! Hope you're ok!

Thank you for the suggestion but I can confidently say that people here don't want to see me in just earrings and shoes! :? In fact I don't think any amount of money would get me to do that!

RadioMaster 05 Dec 2007 19:25

this is cruel :(

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:31

I've done well to wait until now!

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 19:32

Admit it, it's been eating you up inside hasn't it?

Yeah, I am ok but it was PAINFUL...

Well, I thought it was a good suggestion...maybe...:lmao:

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:34

Only a small bit, been to busy damaging cars to think about it until now!

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:34

I just realised that I actually have damaged two cars in two weeks...wonder who's is next! :))

mszee 05 Dec 2007 19:36

I am visualizing Andy hiding his car somewhere in the bushes right about now...

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 19:41

I'm not moving mine .. .taken me over a week to get my own parking space back, not giving it up this easily!!

mszee 05 Dec 2007 19:43

Oh god...for somebody who lived in Brooklyn for over 7 years...I know all about parking spaces where you park and say...I will never drive again seeing how I am so perfectly parked right now!!!

Well, you can always camouflage it or something...

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 19:45

It's disguised, I would say what as, but that would give the game away :))

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:47

I reckon it's disguised as a black Honda Type R that'll be parked outside a train station tomorrow...

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 19:50

It's more like a grey one at the moment, it's that filthy! Needs a good motorway blast to blow the dirt off it :))

mszee 05 Dec 2007 19:52

Well, now...I've tried to help you, Andy...now it's all of nawt...I guess you will be designated driver, eh?

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 19:53

Only through insurance costs lol

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 19:53

Only to get there, then the car will be firmly parked for 2 days!

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 19:58

Too bloody right!

dont you have car washes over there??

Lord Kagan 05 Dec 2007 20:33

blood clotting factors are boring....

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 20:34

Yeah but why pay for that when we can hammer it down a motorway and get some shows at the other end?!

AndyK 05 Dec 2007 20:36

I'll remember that "we can hammer it" when it gets suggested that I should possibly slow down a bit :lmao:

LucyK! 05 Dec 2007 20:40

I drive a 106...my idea of hammer at the moment is about 45 uphill!

duke knooby 05 Dec 2007 21:00

106's are flying machines (apart from the diesels)

Lord Kagan 05 Dec 2007 21:09

Well last week mine was a diesel with an exhaust that was snapped in two places!

I have to say though, the fuel consumption is amazing...I drove from County Durham to Cheshire and back on half a tank, about 15 quid
