Why has my car insurance renewal gone up 56%?

I've almost convinced myself to buy another tractor to rob bits from to fix the first tractor I bought. In my head it's making sense, but maybe I'm going insane?

But luckily I was outbid at the auction, so new problem averted... original problem continues.
