The Hugh Jackman/Christian Bale/Michael Caine one? With David Bowie doing a really really dodgy accent? I love that film, Ric bought me it for my birthday and I'd never heard of it, then had to watch it twice practically back to back to figure out what was going on!!

Watched the recent-ish remake of Miracle on 34th Street while doing the ironing this afternoon, am currently watching Gladiator.

That's the one...however...I am drunk with Deb and citydweller in the internet cafe near Times Square so that's where my posting ends...I love you all!!!

LucyK! 07 Jan 2008 15:13

Last film we watched was The Queen, and it was very very good. I'd heard some really good reviews and some equally bad ones but we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We had imagined it to be a very one sided account of what happened during "that week" after Diana's death but it did a very good job of showing it from the points of view of Tony Blair, the Queen as a public figure and also the Queen as a parent and Grandparent. Great film :up:

SamCat 07 Jan 2008 23:13

MeatGrl1 15 Jan 2008 22:13

Yesterday I took the plunge and bought the Special 2 disc Shake & Shimmy Edition of :heart: Hairspray :heart: and I was up till a little after six watching the extra bits and I think my highlight has to be seeing the cast in the recording studio and they had a clip of John doing his;

#Hey Tracy, Hey baby, Look at me
I'm the cutest chickie that you ever did see.#

Loved that bit though it was weird see him sing that not in costume but I still have stacks loads to get through and I also loved the deleted scenes and Tracy's number that was cut from the film is a beautiful track.
So yes love it :heart:.

Vincent D'Onofrio wound up in the hospital quite a few times from over exhaustion...they had to split his part to cover needed amount of episodes, thus you are getting Chris North for half of the episodes of the season.
