Any news yet, Hypnobabe? Hope the baby, its parents and aunt are all well!

Hypnobabe 27 Apr 2006 10:52

Yes, news at last!!!

Emily Louise was born at 2.47 this morning, so that's a full 24 hours after her poor mother started in labour  and she weighed 8lbs 5oz which is about 3.8 kilos (I think, don't quote me on that one!)

Now now, no excess modesty, HB (if I may call you that). It was a marvellous effort. :D

dottie 28 Apr 2006 20:45

thank god its the weekend, going to see my new little grandson tomorrow, having a talk with him concerning keeping mummy and daddy awake all night..

Ross 29 Apr 2006 02:00

Today I watched The Wizard of Oz for the first time since I was about 6 today.

Then tonight I came in and decided I would listen to an album I have been meaning to listen to for ages - Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

It wasn't until I was writing in the "What are you listening..." thread until the link clicked with me.

Isn't it funny how the subconsious mind works?

Hypnobabe 29 Apr 2006 11:11

My insurance cover note arrived this morning... Hubby's at the garage as we 'speak'...

L96 29 Apr 2006 11:19

May I enquire as to what parts?

What a good little angel, but then aren't they always for Nanny....... very, very enjoyable day with my little one......Liam is going to Great Ormond Street Hospital on the 9th May with regards to his breathing problems, I hope Liam is okay, I won't be able to go with my daughter as I am flying out the following morning very early......

Chris 29 Apr 2006 21:08

If I take anymore pills, i will rattle when i walk!!

L96 30 Apr 2006 11:18

Why are you taking pills?

I would like to know about Amersham and the people in it, which I believe is in Buckinghamshire. I would also like to know about Manchester and the people in it. Can anyone help?

dottie 30 Apr 2006 21:18

Went to bed this morning at 5 o'clock am, arose at 8.30am - just so shattered, getting fed up with this insomnia lark, do they call it a lark because you're always up and listening to the first lark of the day:lol:
Thank you to the two lovely ladies who passed the time away with me in the chat room......

Rockette 01 May 2006 03:54

Dottie, I'll trade you my nightmares for your insomnia. Awake has gotta be a better option. I'd listen to the roosters competing for supremacy as the sun comes up, and that ain't no lark.

dottie 01 May 2006 22:01

Rockette 02 May 2006 07:14

YAHOO!! I got to hear the roosters, larks, and any other little critter that wakes at 5.30am today! Summonsed from bed to mind my grandson while his Mum gave birth to his little brother! Brings the total of Granddies to 10!

I sped across town at break-neck speed and I even had a whole speech prepared if the cops pulled me up. Did they? Mongrels let me down. They were all still in bed!

Ageing Bat 02 May 2006 08:57

Congratulations Rockette!

My thoughts: even my aches ache!!

Ankie 02 May 2006 09:00

Congratulations Rockette.

Hope everyone is well?

Rockette 02 May 2006 09:11

Well, I am excellent, the new baby is likewise, but I think the new mum might have different ideas. LOL

Caelan 02 May 2006 09:20

AndyK 02 May 2006 10:08

Yes, well ask me that at Christmas time. 10 of the little blighters now. Plus 10 adults and 1 canine son and 1 feline daughter and 1 canine granddaughter, and they all hold out their grubby little hands/paws for a pressie.

Well, Amersham is higher on the list than Manchester...

It is a *long* story (which doesn't surprise any of you) and involves violence, death, drugs, lies, multiple illicit breedings, mental illness, alcohol, a variety of crimes and some tenuous family connections.

From the New York Times review "A sweeping saga spanning many continents and generations..." "More twists and turns than the fabled labyrinth from Crete...." "A thriller guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat, as it ambles towards a stunning conclusion...." :D

Ross 04 May 2006 01:09

I am Really Happy!!

One my students has been accepted for the teaching course at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama!!!

Felt like sharing.....

Really?

That slots a few more pieces of the puzzle into place then. :D

But doesn't help with Amersham. :(

dottie 04 May 2006 22:29

But doesn't help with Amersham. :([/QUOTE]

All I can say concerning Amersham is that if you can attend the Craft Fair (um better catch plane now), you could be as lucky as I was a couple of years ago I found a super duper bat brooch, complete with sun and moon.

We stopped in Amersham for a meal, and stood in awe at the beautiful traditional cottages and the absolutely incredible olde wordly feeling..

L96 04 May 2006 22:34

Really? That is most interesting, thank you dottie! :D

I would also like to know about Radio Caroline - "The international airwaves home of great independent country music"

AndyK 05 May 2006 09:46

Radio Caroline was a pirate radio station, broadcasting from a ship located in the North Sea ... playingh that popular rock and roll music in the early 60's that was so subversive

Caelan 05 May 2006 14:20

I'd lie for you on the Dutch skyradio yesterday..whhooww..

Skeleton 05 May 2006 15:20

Iīm going to graduate 6th June but I canīt find anywhere those hats.. (Itīs voluntary) :( I know one place but it pretty expensive (75 €) but itīs hand made..

I receaved e-mail which said that we could order those hats via school but I receaved the e-mail ONE day too late after the last date to order confirmation.. :( Life is a lemon.. :( If we order those hats via school we can get them little cheaper (50 €) But I think that my dad going to pay the hat for me..

I've spent a fortune buying a make up kit that supposedly stars use...you know what, dear stars??? You can take your make up kit and...do something nasty to yourself with it...

L96 08 May 2006 09:34

What is the point of having a forum that allows people to swear, then bans them when they do?

Hypnobabe 08 May 2006 17:16

Can someone please tell me where I put the box for my Nokia N70? I need the disk that came with it and I'm b******d if I can find it...

AndyK 08 May 2006 17:37

It's over there ....

mszee 08 May 2006 17:51

No...this is wrong...it's over here...

mszee 08 May 2006 17:51

Lunch time is in 7 minutes...

Butterfly flew out of the sleeve...moth came out of the pocket...yeah...it's been some time since I wore this jacket last...

mszee 08 May 2006 20:45

Deep thoughts by Ms. Zee...

They actually expect me to work here - I can't believe it.

I've been going to the gym since November of last year...As of today I've lost 3 pounds...I guess maybe I wasn't going often enough...

Long live the power of the physical exercise!!!

dottie 09 May 2006 10:05

packing, packing, packing, this or that or all of it anyway?

Hypnobabe 09 May 2006 11:54

How chuffed am I? Only ordered yesterday, and the nice people from Amazon have just had my copies of Fight Club, Storytellers and MSO dvd's delivered!!

AndyK 09 May 2006 12:02

So that's you sat in front of the TV all day then?

Hypnobabe 09 May 2006 12:11

As the dvd player software on my laptop's f***ed, that'll be a yes...

AndyK 09 May 2006 12:12

Enjoy ... what's the running order? Best first or last?

Hypnobabe 09 May 2006 12:14

Quite fancy Storytellers first... I think Fight Club last, 'cos I won't get away with watching a Meat concert while hubby's home... at least I can kid him that that one's just a film... lol

Inland Revenue = :retard:

They can't 'locate' the company's Tax & National Insurance payments for the whole year  Funny how the Collector of Taxes has a record of it all though....... if only they'd pick up the phone and "talk" to eachother??!! Too logical for them though.

L96 11 May 2006 02:58

I have a strange feeling that's not gonna get me anywhere, but have sent them a fiery email. I have a feeling there might be another radio Caroline. That one doesn't seem the type to host a weekly independent country music artists hour. Although they do mention country music, so... Plus, the one I'm thinking of must be somewhere near Amersham, logically.

Thank you, Andy.

Hypnobabe 11 May 2006 10:37

Dentist appointment today... don't let me forget this one, since I've missed the last two... got to go at 12.30, so if you see me on here after 11.45 GMT+1, tell me to go and clean my teeth, will you?

L96 11 May 2006 13:40

GO TO THE DENTIST.

(And clean your teeth on the way)

:D

L96 11 May 2006 13:45
