Easily in my top 5 of best shows ive seen.

Sad London had another bad night. I hope everyone is and stays safe. I'm giving city visits and concert ticket buying a rest for now considering what is going on.:(

Piano guys videos are brilliant, I didn't even know they were touring, but it's great to hear they are as good live, and you had a brilliant time.

Regarding cutting back on city visits and concerts, I suggest don't. No one should have to accept terrorism as an everyday occurance, or just a fact of the times we're living in, but you shouldn't let it get in the way of going about your everyday life, as best you can, and enjoying what you enjoy.

Many big name performers wouldn't play over here during the troubles, but Meat did, time and time again, and the audiences always came, and always had a great time.

But I've rambled off topic again.

Alfie Boe and Michael Ball at Lincoln Castle. Stunning voices especially Alfie, brilliant performers, specially Michael. A lovely setting and a glorious evening. Magical.

You were in Lincoln? You should have said. Now get yourself into trebles for a nice refreshing jig of Lilt and Malibu.

Haha sorry I didn't realise. Also I was with the in laws and their friends so although your idea sounds VERY tempting, we actually went home for a cuppa 😂

Meat Loaf Last at Bat in London

A nice ride through memory lane  In fact, a reminder how damn lucky we, in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, have been.

Night of Johnny Hoes

One of the most important Dutch songwriter's would have been 100 this year. An evening with some of the best Dutch artist performing his songs. I am not a fan of Dutch music, but this was a fun event.

Always liked Nena. Not many good female rockers have toured so extensively and consistently as her.
Weird that outside of Germany (and part of Netherlands I guess) she is only really known for 99 Luftballons / Red Balloons and no one really knows she is really a rockstar instead of a pop has been.

Really liked the Made in Germany song too. Cheesy but such a great patriotic fun song. And the absolute perfect one to start gigs of with. I think she should have kept it in her set for years.

I've listened to quite a bit of her stuff over the years but yet to see her live.

John Hiatt
For his age he still got a lot of fun on stage.

UB40
They still sound great. Good show. Not really a fan of their new material though.

Aha
Never thought I'd ever see them live. Now I wish I hadn't. They looked very uninterested on stage.

Simple Minds
Great show. Never saw them live before but Jim Kerr has a superb stage presence. And still a fantastic voice. What a great band too.

MarkS 15 Jul 2018 03:57

The Glen Campbell Legacy, feature several different artists but also Glen's children doing a career restrospective

amethyst 16 Jul 2018 09:12

The Muppets Take The O2 .... so shoot me, it was a great show :D:D

Sebastian. 29 Jul 2018 11:45

The Gas Light Anthem 20th and 21st July. Amazing. Such an incredible band. The entire '59 Sound live and more. Their supports of Matthew Ryan and Dave Hause really were brilliant as well.
