Last film I watched was Evan Almighty, and once I've finished blowdrying my hair, it'll be Music and Lyrics...

POTC 3

Hypnobabe 22 May 2008 12:41

Clear and Present Danger.. and it was much better than the first time I saw it, which was in the cinema, just after I'd had a tattoo done, when an old friend I hadn't seen for a few years came up and slapped me on the back and asked how I was, unfortunately for me, he managed to slap me right on top of my very sore tattoo site, so I spent most of the film in much pain, and didn't pay very much attention to it...

Devil's Son 22 May 2008 16:25

Pleasure Driver

Dragon Heart

~Helen~ 25 May 2008 16:37

I went to see What happened in Vegas (or, whatever it's called - the Ashton Kutcher/Cameron Diaz one) on Friday night - was chuckling away...although I think the rest of the cinema must have a different sense of to me, because I was laughing (quite loudly) in parts they were not! Nothing like a good rom-com requiring minimal brain power at the end of a hard working week! :D

Devil's Son 25 May 2008 22:29

Sex and the city

there were about 90% of women in the cinema 8% of men that definitely were gay and the other 2% were unhappy boyfriends (probably forced to see that movie)

Okay, this is getting incredibly annoying now... I know I've seen this film before, but I still don't know where or when... Hubby has seen it too, but he knows he saw it on a plane somewhere... He thought I might have seen it on a plane on the way to Estonia - Easyjet must have gone right downhill since he last flew them

Ooooh..... Blinking Nora... this is REALLY irritating me now...

SamCat 31 May 2008 22:28

Its a remake is it definately the new one you've seen?!!

Hypnobabe 31 May 2008 23:17

Yes, definitely the new one...

I enjoyed watching it again, but it's still bugging me..

RoknRollJesus 02 Jun 2008 23:41

Saw INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL Thursday and Yesterday - fun movie!

Saw THE STRANGERS Friday night.
Really good - very disturbing but a great scare!

MeatGrl1 03 Jun 2008 15:21

Julia did this film in 1988 and as I'd never heard or knew about this film till I spotted it in a store, bought it and only got around to watching it last night and I love it, it's about this band who try to get somewhere.
Songs are OK. I liked it, it had a good vibe .

allrevvedup 03 Jun 2008 17:25

Iron Man on friday night....pretty good, Robert Downey Jr is very good in it...stay til the end of the credits:D

Hypnobabe 03 Jun 2008 17:26

Robert Downey Jr.... yum....

Rickmonster 04 Jun 2008 03:02

Neil Young: Heart of Gold. Excellent concert movie. Perhaps my second favorite, right behind The Last Waltz (the gold standard of concert movies, me thinks).

What do you think?

A lot like love

I never thought I´d say this but since I watched What happens in Vegas a few weeks back, and today this movie above.... I LOVE Ashton Kutcher! Such a hottie

RadioMaster 09 Jun 2008 09:41

finally got around to watch Final Destination 3.
Not as good as 1 and 2, but still not bad......got enough for a nice entertaining evening...

LucyK! 09 Jun 2008 16:19

I think they got desperate in Final Destination 3, like they'd used all the decent ideas up in the first two films...I think the second film is the better of the three, screamed out loud at the cinema when I saw that lol

RadioMaster 09 Jun 2008 16:30

exactly! FD2 was great as it had a lot of ideas of it's own, while FD3 was just a copy of the scheme of 1 and 2. Only thing new was the idea with the photos.

That said, it was still a lot of fun, watching the movie and guessing how exactly they would be killed

So all in all I enjoyed it, thinking about buying the box set now...

LucyK! 09 Jun 2008 16:35

They've got the suspense perfect in the FD films...you think you've figured out what's going to happen but you're never quite right and it's never at the moment you expect it...not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it but the death of the lottery winner in the second film nearly killed me too - I have real issues with that particular body part!

 The story is disturbingly reminiscent of the case of Fritz Harmann, also known as the Vampire Of Hanover.

He used to ~~~~~~ his victims (many of whome were male prostitutes) as he bit through their throats.

He'd then sell the flesh as black market pork.

Suppose this makes Hans Gans (Harmanns live in partner) the Mrs Lovett of the piece :wtf:

MeatGrl1 11 Jun 2008 18:49

Nice  !

That's interesting though, thanks Neil .
I prefer my Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett though ;).
