Hey...how about some brandy? Does wonders for all illnesses...

Got a succumbing to stress cold coming out, trying to stop it in it's tracks but not doing too well...

Not overly keen on brandy, think I'll stick to the hot lemon for the time being...

I never get colds because of stress...:shock:

But then again...I am as weird as they come...

Brandy is an acquired taste...and there are so many types...it's hard to tell what's what...but a very good...EXPENSIVE brandy...cognac, in fact...makes all the difference...the aroma of it...just holding a snifter and smelling it...gives you some extra special feeling...

AND...brandy has to be drunk in very small quantities...with tiny sips...

Not that I am a big conoseur...BUT...brandy/cognac is something Russian understands...

Perhaps I should be guided by you.... What would you recommend?

Do you have any Russian delis in your area? They carry sometimes Russian (not really Russian) liquors...

Armenian brandy is considered the best brandy of those parts...they will be able to recommend if you have some Russian/Polish store in the area...if not...I just might bring a bottle or two with me...

We also have fruit brandies...brandy aged with full fruit inside (peach, for example)...those are great for ladies who don't like strong liquors...

There is a Russian (supposedly) bar in the nearest big town to me, about 10 miles away, but not a Russian Deli as far as I know.....

I'll try some of what you've got under the counter there for special customers....

Seeing how this is a virtual pub and there is no shortage of anything...everything is available to everybody...

But I do have to confer with the Landlord who, as it appears, went permanently AWOL...
