duke knooby 26 May 2008 20:59

AndyK 26 May 2008 21:18

You named that tune in one!

2&3/4 hours of non-stop top class rock and roll!

duke knooby 26 May 2008 21:21

nice one... hope the guinness was good aswell!!
lucy survived the flight??

AndyK 26 May 2008 21:37

The Guinness was fantastic (Dublin may well be a few glasses short now, sorry about that Ireland ;-) ). I don't think I could have picked a better set-list for a birthday present concert.

The flights just get better and better! It's no secret that Lucy isn't keen on flying but she's really getting the hang of it and was relaxed enough on the return flight today that I was able to fall asleep, and I've returned to the UK with no mid-flight scars!

duke knooby 26 May 2008 21:39

excellent, glad you both had a great time

Battybarb 26 May 2008 21:42

allrevvedup 26 May 2008 22:31

Yeah I thought that when I was flicking through the channels last night...in his other show he'd be able to make mention of it.

djfierce 26 May 2008 22:34

the first time i saw the clip i thought it was funny but its been played so often now i wonder if it was deliberate

duke knooby 26 May 2008 22:37

Duke Specials new uk tour starts on wed, at the oxford academy... only 10 quid

Betty 26 May 2008 23:14

duke knooby 26 May 2008 23:16

lol, you should try a pillow or cushion.... so youre a candle fan excellent

The Flying Mouse 26 May 2008 23:20

 Ikea are now stocking the..........

Betty 26 May 2008 23:21

the bottom actually is a cushion the upper side is plastic.
Normal cushions cover the fan which for a continuance isn´t good for the flapflop... See, I can justify everything that I bought lol
And yes, I love candles;)

Lord Kagan 26 May 2008 23:35

flapflop???????? pardon

Lord Kagan 26 May 2008 23:36

heheh shes not gonna be amused at me tomorrow

~Helen~ 27 May 2008 01:29

Oooh I have a "Bräda" (except I didn't know it was called that until your post) - the very same thing from Ikea....I thought it was a great idea at first, except that, I find the cushioney-type bit isn't anywhere near as cushioned as it is in those pictures, so the edges of the plastic can dig in my leg a bit. Less noticable when wearing jeans, very noticable whilst wearing a skirt for example. Not a major complaint (and shifting the 'cushion' bit around can help), I just think it would have been a bigger success (comfort-wise) if it closer matched the thickness of the cushion in the picture. Is far better than a cushion for the laptop though - mine likes to get overheated if i don't use a solid surface, and then various things stop working until I reboot and allow it to cool down.

And that was my thoughts on that. I'm sure you don't really care, but it's a post your thoughts thread afterall...

~Helen~ 27 May 2008 01:39

I'm sure there were other things I intended to comment on too, but I can't quite remember now... You've all been incredibly busy in the past 10 hours since I was last here!

Hmmm my thoughts then... difficult to express since I'm highly confused. I had a super lovely day which served in the end only to confuse me further. I really wish there was a rule book or list of instructions telling me how to manage these situations. It's not even a case of not being able to get what I want, because I'm not even sure what that is anymore. Why does life have to be so complicated? And why do things that appear on the outside as so simple have to be so confusing??? :? Is it possible for your head to fill so much with confusion that it actually explodes???............

~Helen~ 27 May 2008 01:39

Gah. How did they get to be such long posts???

One of my friends has managed to 'lose' an acoustic guitar that so far as he recalls he hasn't taken out of the house (at least since his girlfriend remembers seeing it under his desk (where it is no longer)) - so anything is possible!!

Car doesn't sound too bad for 11 years old!

Talking of cars, I've got to buy a new windscreen wiper today...I might complain because I'd rather spend the money on something else but I've never replaced one since I bought the car nearly 3 1/2 years ago so I guess I've not done too badly.

I'm not exactly gtting paid, it's more of a 6 month internship as part of my journalism studies.
But I used to do it for nearly six years now and I couldnt dream of any job in the world I'd rather do.

I can't imagine what the world would do if I was on the radio though... panic probably. But my friends would be grateful...at last an off switch for my voice!! ;)
