£328.53 just to supply the glass, not including fitting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We now drive a Galaxy convertable!!!!!

LucyK! 29 May 2008 11:18

Please tell me it's the convertable people carrier from Top Gear...

Monstro 29 May 2008 11:24

That was an Espace wasn't it?

LucyK! 29 May 2008 11:26

I have no idea I was laughing too much! And it was a hell of a lot cheaper to make than £330 for glass!

djfierce 29 May 2008 11:30

the car prob isnt even worth what that bloody glass is gonna cost

allrevvedup 29 May 2008 17:09

allrevvedup 29 May 2008 19:44

sory for the joke earlier...how fast were you going? I'd say you didn't know what the hell had happened at first...does your insurance cover it?

Definitely glad you're ok hon

RadioMaster 29 May 2008 20:01

a few years ago my parents and I were driving on the autobahn, with opened windows, when another car was overtaking on the left, but so close that it hit our side-view mirror, which shattered into a thousand pieces. I had a few of them stuck in my arm, but nothing serious. Later we noticed that the shards actually ripped holes into the seat squab.

It was a shock for life, I was just glad my mother, who was driving the car, wasnt hit...who knows what else would have happened...

glad youre ok Anji!

duke knooby 29 May 2008 20:33

lol no worries hun, i'm used to you now :lawl:

hmmm how fast was i going.....the speed limit of course *cough cough*

lol honestly prob somewhere between 80-90 ;)

thought they were stronger than that but it has been suggested that maybe the vandals that broke in at the weekend tried to break in thru that first hence softening the glass then the smallest stone flicked up couldve broken. Personally i dont really care, all i know is its broken and its gonna cost a fortune to fix. Unfortunately my ins doesnt cover it so just gonna have to take it on the chin....less concert money methinks :(

Luckily i had enough wits about me not to swerve or anything, just slowed down till i understood what was going on.

Thanks for the concern anyway guys.

duke knooby 29 May 2008 23:37

i reckon all the stuff you've been taught this past year is meant to be in the exam... or were you in the wrong class??? (i did that for a laugh)

duke knooby 29 May 2008 23:38

what i meant was phone someone to find out

Lord Kagan 29 May 2008 23:43

duke knooby 29 May 2008 23:45

duke knooby 29 May 2008 23:54

if its any consolation (which it aint) i remember arriving at a late revision session sometime after 1am... getting stuck into a few beers, then revising through the night till 8.30am ish.. and i got on fine, so you should be grand... (dont remember it now though)

duke knooby 29 May 2008 23:56

and i know for a fact you're better than me.. so i'm pretty confident... good luck, get stuck in to some revision

Battybarb 30 May 2008 00:03

Why do all the people around me at the moment think they have the right to act like they are totally superior !

duke knooby 30 May 2008 00:08

are they men?

Battybarb 30 May 2008 00:13

not all ,no

Battybarb 30 May 2008 00:14

why are you saying men are superior....lol

duke knooby 30 May 2008 00:54

you needed to ask?? have you an inferiority complex?

Lord Kagan 30 May 2008 00:57

genetically men are mutants, a mutation of the x chromosome so you can see what shes hinting at

duke knooby 30 May 2008 01:00

you and me are gonna fall out

Lord Kagan 30 May 2008 01:01

ah but not all mutations are bad, theyre the basis of advanced evolution

SamCat 30 May 2008 01:19

Its confusing watching Without a Trace and then Frasier with Simon Daphne's brother straight after each other!!

duke knooby 30 May 2008 01:26

its brilliant watching over 4 hours of live music with full orchestra... yet only seeing 2 songs...... by 2 different singer/songwriters, 1 song each (im not greedy)

The Flying Mouse 30 May 2008 16:24

 That was a looooooooooooooooooong post

~Helen~ 30 May 2008 16:50

*venting* why can't customers see that when i'm asking them questions about the situation they're reporting it's so that i can actually HELP THEM. Just had a woman in a strop because I personally don't have powers to stop people she doesn't like parking on a car park immediately and am not coming out immediately and moving it just because she doesn't like it there....I hasten to add my job has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with parking, and when I tried to find out details so I could pass her onto the relevant authority she decided to go off in a huff. I genuinly was trying to help her and genuinly can't do anymore about it than she can! Hate it when callers are funny with you because you won't do the impossible for them. Grrr!
