Good Lord Ryan .. thank you :)

No, thank YOU. You're Meat Loaf's Jacqueline Dillon and I totally respect your wisdom - except the animated Meat Loaf's. Sorry, but we all have weaknesses and they scare me. That's the only problem. You really are tremendous - with all of us

Hey guys,
In all honesty(spelling??) I dont think we can compare BOOH to CHSIB fully as N.M.W the music is great. Yet I do feel that sofar out of the Meat Loaf albums i have heard Bat is tops. However the ballads on CHSIB are beautiful. I think that the only time for me not to listen to chsib but bat is when your sad. hugs leeann |
for all thoses who are asking if Bat is better than CHSIB or vice versa, that is completely ridiculous, because for one good Reason;
The albums are completely different from each other. Bat is more of a movie without the pictures a movie about rebellistic teenagers with a begin middle and ending CHSIB is more an ordinary ROck and roll or mainstream album, such as the old Bryan adams, Van halen and Def leppard. like we in Holland say ':)' "You can't compare apples with Pears" |
I have to confess something and I ain't afraid to say it.
"Couldn't Have Said It Better" imo, is the best record ever made. There's definetly close follow ups, ie, BOOH, WTTN, Bat2, WWBIAF, but this one is now MY official favourite. I got this CD September 27, 2003, when it first came out to Canada. A story that turned out to be disapointing that turned into the best moment in my life, when the man went back to the Computer to check if the CD was in stock. And it was, I bought it, left my 10 dollar change behind  and I missed my bus, so I ran home and then I found out how my cat would have to been put down. Well the story ends where it just so happens that my cat doesn't have to put down, I am home, and the first thing I did was place the CD in the stereo. I may not have my change, but I don't care, because that record made me completely forgot about it. This record is now the best one I've ever heard. Thank you Meat for making this piece, and its still and always will be (like BooH) a part of my life for many moments to come. Even when I die. |
its been way over a year, and I still feel the same :P
the only thing that varies, i can't help but love DR & CHSIB the same now :? CHSIB, just a tad bit more, but why must things be so difficult, LOL  In all honesty I bet almost everyone in this forum will note that CHSIB some how affected their lives, and could affect others, if they would just play it on the radios more! Perhaps, if these stations played other songs on this album, cuz apparently some people aren't like these insane wicked-cool songs, ie, CHSIB, DIST, MOS. <-----outstanding tracks, and yet no feedback. mindboggleing |
How can you compare BOOH with CHSIB, they are in different leagues, neither one is better. BOOH is an album nearly everyone has hidden in their album collections somewhere, CHSIB is just a brill album which is really for all Meat fans and the younger generation who want the up beat feel.
Both of them are good albums, non meat fans would say BOOH is the better one believe me I have two here saying they would rather listen to BOOH. Although a couple of my friends who say they can't stand Meat, really like Meat, I played Do It for them and didn't tell them who it was and they were saying they want the single. :D |
Piture it like this....
There's two HUGE mountains exactly the same shape and size....and they just tower above any other mountain....... One mountain represents BOOH and the other one represents CHSIB. Both as strong and huge, but yet they are individual and unique!!! Thats how i see them!! :D |
*ahem*
First of all, I am one of those irritating music nerds who feels perfectly comfortable comparing tow 'different' pieces of work. The Teletubbies single and The Beatles 'Love Me Do' are both incredibly different. Which one's better? As for Bat Out Of Hell being the best album ever. It's quite probably not. Nor is CHIB. Bat Out Of Hell is a fantastically cohenrent piece of music with a unifying theme. As is BAT II, whcih I happen to prefer. CHSIB is (please don't kill me) just plain old rock by numbers. I don't feel anything going on apart from the vocals. Those vocals are the only thing breathing life into that record. But erm, apples and oranges I guess. |
I'm not sure if it's just me who feels this, but when I first heard CHSIB, I was amazed (in a good way) that Meat hadn't taken the route of say...Tom Jones and attempted to make his song like all the modern stuff today....If that makes sense lol. I think it's great that CHSIB still sounded like a classic Meat Loaf song and not like something you expect to hear a modern Rock group sing!

ah, yes, nice comment, Meat never lets his fans down

I have to totally agree with you!!! |
However, one could argue that he's boxing himself into one particular genre. If he branched out into different styles perhaps he'd spice things up a little, instead of his new work growing stale. My $0.02.

bat is better , simply becuse its the best album ever made!

"They can't stop making music as they're making too much money" That's what my dad said ten years ago and I never would have thought Meat would still be going strong in 2004. |

I canīt compare two wonderful album together. Itīs difficult. Both are wonderful.
|
Bat definitely. CHSIB is a terrific album, and I like everything on it, but BOOH is classic.
