Was it really necessary to bump this thread?

However, I must say after reading this and other posts by Fire Ball, he really flies off the handle a lot. I know he's passionate, but geeze.

Probably not, but I think Andy said it best

If I were seriously ill for whatever reason, then I just hope there are people out there who care enough to want to move heaven and earth to find out how I am doing and to send me their best wishes.

Meat has explained his reasons, he shouldn't have to justify his actions, but he graciously he did. That should be the end of the matter.
And if Meat gets irked when he's being challenged for doing just that (not necessarily here I'd point out) he has every right to express it, to tell us how he feels. If Meat were not an emotional, passionate and compassionate man I doubt many of us would be so drawn to him as a person, and to the passion in his delivery on stage.

 It was long ago and it was far away, and then the subject it was dropped.
But then the thread got bumped back up the page, and now the thread is locked :lock:

Please see forum rules concerning bumping old threads.
We don't mind so much if there is something trully relevant to add to the discussion, but we discourage thread bumping on the whole.
