Hey! My tits are my own buisness....... so beautiful they are

Sarge 31 Jul 2009 02:00

Just watched the new vids (several times). Sounds pretty cool.

Pudding 31 Jul 2009 03:29

Are you just saying that because of what happened last time :))

Sarge 31 Jul 2009 03:54

No, even if it provoked someone to hit the roof, I'd say if I didn't like it.

I really like what I hear on those videos. Reminds me a little of 1970s rock, yet it doesn't sound old-fashioned. Would like to hear more of that. :-)

Of course, the latest bra signing was for charity, but that sent lightbulbs off in the heads of some female fans. The question now is, will the Cowboy be open to it?

Suzieq

While I would have loved to have had my bra signed by Meat, unfortunately I haven't. But if I did, it would obviously have to be one I don't want to wear as I couldn't wear it as I wouldn't want to wash it and lose his signature. I did read or hear somewhere, that he won't sign them while you are wearing them, he makes you take it off and bring it back to him to sign. Now what's the fun in that? ha ha Unfortunately I'd be a bit too shy to do something like that.

Thanks for your reply Carole and your information is helpful. I would agree I wouldn't want to wear it for fear that the signature would come off. Understandably, about him making a person take it off for him to sign. I will pass your info. back to that facebook group.

the debates about Meat's offerings to me smell like utter bullshit in a china shop. most respect to all. wake up! it was 27 seconds a week ago, or something close. the present is a terrible thing to waste.

Is Justin Hawkins doing a song on the album by himself? The reason I'm asking is that there have been 3 videos of just his vocals.

AndrewG 31 Jul 2009 09:44

Finally a good question, lol. ;-)
Indeed there must be at least one Justin Hawkins song on there. I reckon it's probably a duet in the style of Amnesty, ie Justin probably (co)-wrote the song and is playing/singing on it certainly partly. I can picture hearing Meat's vocals on that track.

Interesting that studio setup btw. They have a video screen to monitor the studio instead of the window thing.

evil nickname 31 Jul 2009 10:08

Maybe it's just guide vocals.

Anyway, sounds interesting, as it doesn't try to sound like anything like Meat's more famous stuff. Still, it needs more cowbell.

bobbin 31 Jul 2009 10:50

Well if it IS possible to have an opinion on a small clip, i really like the recent ones, sounds like this album could be very different but for me in a good way am looking forward to seeing the final direction this album takes :-)

Benny 31 Jul 2009 14:15

That would be cool if Justin was on the album... Great vocals!
Oooh, can't wait to have this album in my hands :-P

Yeah it is interersting. I've noticed it too and the local studio to me (1 1/2 hrs from me tbh) has the same setup... Looks like the newer studios are doing it this way.

I guess it means that you could have any room for drums or whatever and not be stuck with the "window through wall" kinda studio.... If that makes sense at all - it does in my head :))

Wario 31 Jul 2009 16:45

liekd the riff on the justin songs. just wondering now, is it gonna be another rock & roll mercenaries ( im always hopeful) or is justin doing a solo song for the record?

My appologies to the board. I will make an effort to not drink and visit the boards. However, I do like the creative new title

Pudding 31 Jul 2009 22:38

I hope Justin Hawkins isn't on the album, he does nothing for me whatsoever.

Steve6 31 Jul 2009 22:49

Justin Hawkins is very cheesy. I wouldn't like his voice that much either. You wouldn't have thought he'd be involved in a Meat Loaf album a few years back. They have very different personalities, and very very different voices.

RSG 31 Jul 2009 22:54

In accord to the most recent vids. Pierce, and JohnHD are playing Hawkins' song. However, it is still early to be presumptuous to where the song is going and how it will sound. That being said, I do agree with Pudding. He does nothing for me either.

Sarge 01 Aug 2009 00:01

You saboteurs! :bicker:

:))

I don't care who's on the record, as long as they provide good music.

Oh, there's Diane Warren...

evil nickname 01 Aug 2009 00:05

Goody, a song by Diane Warren.

After her latest offerings—You're Right I Was Wrong, Unsaid, Cry Over Me—I'm not exactly excited. To me, those are among the worst songs Meat has ever done.
