Just wait till meat reads all that .....

Ah well, I thought that Justin is good. i liked the riff. I dont care, just as long as he doesn't have a "justin only" song on the album.

Diane Warren's COM was bad. but Unsaid and YWRIWW arent Burning Down

To cite Boyzone, I can't deny what I believe. ;) I'm under no obligation to like every song that Meat has ever done, and to me, well, those songs are among my least favorites. I don't like 'em at all, simple as that.

As for this new song that Diane Warren has written: of course I'm not saying it's a bad song, as I haven't heard it. But based on the songs I know she's written, I'm not too excited, as there are very few of those that I really like apart from "Not a Dry Eye", "If I Could Turn Back Time" and Dusty Springfield's solo version of "Wherever Would I Be?"

I like it, too, it's quite catchy. I wonder what the entire song sounds like.

Those songs were rather disappointing (except maybe Unsaid) and I'm not a fan of Diane Warren but I'm curious anyway. Maybe she has written a real kick-ass song this time? :))

Poor Cry Over Me. In Cry Over Me's defense, that song strikes a chord with me and I love it. In the spirit of a friendly difference of opinions.

It struck a chord with me too, not the same one as you though :lmao:

I liked DW's I'd Lie For You and Not A Dry Eye, if the song is in that realms then good, if it's in the same realms as COM and YWRIWW then :barf: it'll be a track I'll skip.

Sarahdk23 01 Aug 2009 09:46

I love Dianne Warren! In my opinion, she has written some of the best songs ever! Including Cry over me! I absolutely love that song, and no Im not sucking up!

Elijah's way 01 Aug 2009 11:13

Same here I love Diane Warren cry over me is one of my favorite songs on bat 3 and I love I'd lie for you and not a dry eye.

AndrewG 01 Aug 2009 11:31

Her best song for me would have to be "I don't Want to Miss a Thing", closely followed by I'd Lie for You and Dry Eye.

Steve6 01 Aug 2009 12:27

I think she's a great songwriter. I'd call her the "Queen of the Power Balled" :lawl:

Wario 01 Aug 2009 13:04

didn't Diane Warren also write For Crying Out Loud? That song was Horrendous!

lol I'm so bad

No Jim Steinman wrote that, and are you being serious when you say it's horrendous? It's one of the best songs he ever recorded, and one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Cristina 01 Aug 2009 13:16

Cher turned into huge hits Warren's Save Up All Your Tears/ If I Could Turn Back Time/ Love + Understanding, and I loved these, but I wasn't impressed with other Warren's song that Cher did, nothing really original (or they didn't strike any chord in me as you said), while I loved I'd Lie For You and Not a Dry Eye In The House. Who knows, I wait to hear the songs and hear what Meat's voice can make of them.
About Hawkins, actually I can't see the point of having a Justin-solo song on the album, I thought that enough singers had been introduced already, and they're enough to make a terrific album ;)

I concur with Steve6.

Oops forgot about the ass kissing phenomenon on here, but it's my genuine feeling so be it.

And there I was thinking that "For Crying Out Loud" was a mis-spelling of "Cry Over Me", in which case I'd have agreed with you ...

I don't think COM is inherently a bad song, so much as it really just did not seem like a Meat Loaf song, just my opinion though.

I know you was talking to Steve6, lucky you. I was making a general observation that your post wasn't meant to be taken serious, yet you had lord knows how many who took it serious
