you can put a sparkler out with a cake though

mszee 28 Oct 2008 22:34

Alright...let's just review this for thick headed...I'd rather eat chocolate cake than sleep with fireman...did I clarify this enough or should I elaborate?

I was thinking that too lol, but I guess they meant 'solo artists' and not groups.

I wasn't expecting snow here tonight

mszee 29 Oct 2008 01:31

You had snow too?

Monstro 29 Oct 2008 01:32

yup

mszee 29 Oct 2008 01:36

To me this is SO weird...I don't think I've ever seen snow in October...well, it stands to reason...if I am going to England in the winter...then winter maybe NOT be mild...argh...shish...

SamCat 29 Oct 2008 02:14

Anyone remember when it used to get cold gradually?!! It was lovely at lunchtime when i left home i got off the tube an hour later and it was really cold, 8 hours later i'm standing waiting for the bus freezing cold, shivering, with the snow coming at me horizontally!!

mszee 29 Oct 2008 03:06

Well, there were all 4 seasons in Ukraine...here...there are only 2...winter and summer...and almost nothing in between...but still...not in October...

MissAsh 29 Oct 2008 03:15

Had snow here today too. Worst thing was I woke up at 6:20am after about 2 hours sleep and then when I looked out of the window I couldn't figure out why the hell everything was white... as you can probably tell, I'm not a morning person

mszee 29 Oct 2008 03:20

I walk into the walls in the morning...if I am still functional it is only a matter of routine...everything is on autopilot...

SamCat 29 Oct 2008 03:37

Poor Marvin went out for about 30 seconds came straight back and dashed to the litter tray!! Too cold out there even for him lol!!

Ahh, but they've got nothing on their feet.... Perhaps you should get Marvin some socks and wellies, that might persuade him to go out in the snow?

changing the song to "I wish it could be Halloween everyday"?

AndyK 29 Oct 2008 18:45

Apparently it's 22 years ago this weekend that Nigel Mansell was hooning down the pit straight in the Australian Grand Prix with the world championship in his grasp when his tyre exploded ... 22 YEARS!

Actually, if you ever decide that you want to use MSN, you don't ever have to install it. Windows have messenger built in to the software - it's called Windows Messenger - and it works with MSN...that's what I use if I ever need MSN.

Yup. To give an idea of what it's like up there, I took a photo of the pod in front of us when I was at the top -

http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...143b7be882.jpg

AndrewG 30 Oct 2008 03:45

Ash that's a great photo. :))
Never been up there myself though have done one of those 3 hour bus tours which is pretty good value for money if you want to see many sights in a short space of time.

It's so clear that photo, it almost looks as if you were standing on top of the pod. :-P

mszee 30 Oct 2008 03:47

Thank you very much for the picture! That's the kind of picture I've seen online...

Angie, the thing appears to be enclosed...what scared you? I am really really afraid of heights and of that type motion...so...with me it's a real concern...but this doesn't look like a rollercoaster at all?

MissAsh 30 Oct 2008 03:52

Thanks Andrew, think it's the only photo I took where you can't see any fingerprints or smudges on the glass!

It's a 30 minute ride, goes really slowly and because you're so distracted by the scenery (especially on a really clear day) you barely notice the movement. I was sure I was going to be hugging the floor and begging to be put down on the ground again but it was totally the opposite. Think I'm going to go on it quite late next time as I'd love to see London all lit up.

That would be lovely to see I reckon. But it's pretty much pitch black here south at 6pm these days so it doesn't need to be too late. ;-)

Unfortunately it'll probably be late spring/early summer before I'm back in London so it'll be getting dark a fair bit later then... not that I'm complaining, more daylight hours to explore the city = more fun for me!

Very much so. I went to a theme park for a friend's birthday a few years ago and spent pretty much all day standing around playing slot/grab machines or reading my book as I was too scared to go on the rides myself, nothing's changed since then!

mszee 30 Oct 2008 04:32
