Banjo talk moved to here ... twang

howlerformeatloaf 06 Aug 2009 12:47

I may be wrong but to me it seems he is introducing people that just go to the studio and even if they are on the album look at it this way. There should be something for everyone to enjoy on the album with all the different sounds there might be. I am very much looking forward to this. anyone hear about any tentative release date yet? :D

allrevvedup 06 Aug 2009 13:16

I just hope it's not too experimental in that there's 12 completely different types of songs, or however many are going to be on the album.

There can be overproduction as much as under production, Aerosmith's Album Just Push Play is proof of that.

I heard April 2010; Source from a post production Ghost Hunter interview via Jason Hawes (interview was about working with Meat on set).

Well there is jack shit happening in the Meat Loaf Twitter world at the moment as Twitter has been the target of a Denial of Service attack and has been down for the last few hours now.... :-(

Kara is one of the judges on America Idol. For those who would like to know, Justin has co-written a song and Played Guitar on that song. He also Sang with a group on a song or 2. Really like him. Fun !

I think Justin used to work in a pub in Huddersfield called 'The Crown' or one of his Darkness bandmates did, so I was told when I used to drink there.

AndrewG 06 Aug 2009 22:08

Saw the clips on the YouTube channel, despite Twitter being down. I agree Kara is gorgeous. What is it with American girls eh??? Bloody hell! She's 38, I wouldn't have thought that actually, I would have guessed 30 or so.

So has Kara then listened to most of the album. I'm interested knowing what she means with "it's a complete journey". Can't wait to hear it all finished!

I also saw him playing bass in one of the videos. I wonder if it was on the same song.

mszee 06 Aug 2009 22:54

Are any of Kara's songs on the new record?

RSG 06 Aug 2009 22:58

Justin sang with a group? Like background vocals, or something similar to 1983's Promised Land

 Justin was the lead singer of a Brit band called The Darkness.

Their best know hit, I Believe In A Thing Called Love.

The Darkness opened for Meat in Germany a few years ago.

RSG 06 Aug 2009 23:11

Man they're like a mix of Queen and AcDc. Haha, Thanks Mouse! :D

I love that song, now I'm totally interested to hear the song that Justin and Meat worked on together.

 What do you mean "weird".

That's just how I dance at family piss ups

JH and TD never took themselves very seriously.
They were all about fun.
Be interesting to see if Justin is still as nuts as ever, or if he's doing some (for the lack of a better phrase) "serious work".

duke knooby 07 Aug 2009 00:14

and still no banjo :(

Pudding 07 Aug 2009 00:20

I'm not much of a Darkness fan at all, but I do like their Christmas song

Often wondered why Meat has never done a proper Christmas single
