mszee 12 Nov 2008 14:01

Yeah...so...strange news...I guess facebook strikes again or rather one of it's applications. My cousin wrote to me that my picture from facebook is all over some website I've never heard of...looking into this now - I couldn't even get into that website yet without giving them the key from the place where money is kept...

So...please...if I don't have an application on my profile, please don't send me any new requests right now - I am not allowing any new applications unless I've checked them out and I will probably be deleting some that I already have...thanks in advance...

Just very worried that I can't log into that site to see what the hell is going on...

MeatGrl1 12 Nov 2008 14:13

Tired , Going to bed at 5AM is not a very wise thing to do  !!

Also Boots can feck off if they think I'm taking my Pop Up preventer off in aid to continue applying   !!

Monstro 12 Nov 2008 15:52

Nope, can't do it, did try...promise...

Two days bloody intense training and a 100mile journey home through some pretty dodgy weather has left me knackered. Up and at work this morning to over 240 emails and a to do list as long as my arm, cashpoint chewed my card "we're very sorry but there's a fault with the machine" and I'm faced with a going to bed at 5AM isn't wise post again. With all the due respect my stressed head can muster do you not think it would be wise to just turn the computer and tv off earlier??????????????????????? I work with clients with some severe mental health issues and they manage to get out of bed in the mornings to do volunteer work, college courses etc etc (all free by the way to those on benefits), in one of my schemes two of the clients have got part time work!!!!!!!!

I mean this with no malace nor do I intend to in any way hurt but for gods sake do something, go to your local school/college and check out the courses free to those on benefits, evening classes cost pennies or free for you, check out government training schemes, ask the DWP about work placements. I've been there and done this myself and it got me a job.

duke knooby 12 Nov 2008 18:42

i'm fully retrained now :D

and also knackered!!

mszee 12 Nov 2008 18:44

~Helen~ 12 Nov 2008 18:57

temp left...once she settled in she was lovely.
new, permanent person started on monday and my nerves are shot already. not come across such a stroppy cow in longer than i can actually remember! can't stand people who talk to you as though they are above you - which yep - is exactly what she does...when in fact we are same grade...tho she doesn't seem to realise i have been doing the job a lot longer than she has. she fusses about everything, mithers me and the boss to death (part of our job is supposed to keep minor things out of the bosses hair and i'm sorry but setting up an email signature is NOT something to pester the boss about) and she talks to me like i am sh1t on her shoe. usually enjoy my job but i just feel worn out and completely disheartened.

sounds tempting but boss is nice and my responsibility is to keep stress AWAY from boss...so new person is doubling my work load keeping her away from boss also. have promised self however that next time she has a computer problem i am going to pretend not to know and refer her to the IT Helpdesk. 10 minutes on hold and 3 days waiting for a call back should soon teach her she doesn't actually know best. Oh, which is worst things about this woman...she knows best about everything. apparently. I am yet to find a topic on which she doesn't claim to know better than me...including how our admin function is run.

Plus there is one more reason to dislike her....(aside of the fact that is unpleasant to work with and a pain in everywhere it is possible to have pain and some places it isn't)...she said she doesn't like Meat Loaf!!! Definately unhinged ;)

I really pray she will calm down soon but I am not so sure! :?

People like that usually get kicked out...and keeping her away from your boss doesn't help you...I didn't mean...ENCOURAGE her...I meant...ummm...I don't know...go ask boss...or something to that effect. Doing this with IT is a good start...people who know everything...sooner or later find themselves knowing everything on the street...

Tomorrow's aim is to attempt to ignore her...so if she goes pestering boss...I didn't notice ;). If she keeps asking me questions...I don't know. And am going in armed with ear phones tomorrow...concentrate better with music and apparently she doesn't like it . :-)

I read a Michael Crichton novel while I was in Germany. It was called 'Next', about genetic engineering. Pretty good, I must say. It was the first of his I'd read, though.

I think I've read all his books to date...and there will be no more to read...can't come to terms with this yet...

you liked that??:wtf:
I thought it was the worst of his books. Not a real storyline connecting all the elements and a poor ending. Looked to me more like an early draft of what should become a book...
