OK...Can somebody PLEASE define YOUR COLD...what is the temperature when it's YOUR cold???
|
Betty, I think it's so much better to be infamous than famous...it's not even funny...
|
OK, so FOX finally outdone themselves with a new show...it's a stupid premise about multi-millionaires living among struggling folks for a week and then awarding them part of their money to help out...
First there was this lawyer with his son which has private planes, yachts, whatever...you name it...mind yourself...he specilizes in foreclosures and is VERY happy that business is BOOMING now... So...he is put together pretending to make some documentary with a person that has a bad back and up to her ears in debt for back surgery, losing house and everything in the process...secondly, it's a woman on Social Security who made a shelter out of her house and houses and feeds homeless women and children on her social security pension. The last one is a child with bone cancer - multiple tumors where parents don't have medical insurance and had to leave their work temporarily to take care of the child...community is pulling money together to help them with their mounting bills they are unable to pay... SO...you'd think the lawyer absolutely will award good money to all three candidates? Surely they deserve it??? But, of course...remember all those yachts and private planes? Why wouldn't he share his wealth...so...the first woman gets $25000, and the other two get $50000 each... Why don't some people rot in hell DURING their lifetime too??? Disgusting... Needless to say I've watched this first and last time... |
Quote:
Can't give any details as i've never watched the bloody thing :lmao: |
Well, I wanted to see something heartwarming for Christmas...instead I was jumping up and down like a Rumplestilskin during the entire thing...argh...
|
 :pics: ?

The Secret Millionaire. Cheap pants TV at it's very best.
As for cold ... depends on who you talk to for some it's anything less than 40 degrees C, for others it's a lower limit than that. |

Andy, that's is EXACTLY what I am asking...for British winter...what is considered cold? I'll give you an example of how people perceive weather. When I was once in Seattle in the summer...they were having a very hot summer by their standards...SO...they were sweating bullets in sundresses...I was wearing sweater and my teeth were chattering... So, I guess my question is...what temperature you would consider unusually cold for England which you had lately... |
Its about 8 degrees C in London atm but it'll be colder up north cos its always warmer in London!!
Here's a couple of weather sites for you http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...=enhsearch_loc |

The cold snap we've had this week, was around -5 C in the morning and not getting much above 0 during the day.
It's not unusual for that to happen two of three times over the winter anywhere in the UK (with the usual caveat that it gets colder the further north you go!) Anything colder than that would I think be considered more unusal. As Emma says it's warmer in London because they're all soft down south. |
Thank you, Andy.
I will skip the comment about anybody being soft...cause while working in NYC for many years I know how large cities are warmer than anywhere else... |
to define my cold: I´ve got temperature of 38.5°C
outside: approx 2 °C Veeeery bad timing for having a cold!! Tomorrows xmas do will be fuuuuuuuunnnnnn!!! Probably already drunk after the bus tour to Bremen lol |

Mental note for next year:
DO NOT decide to put up the chrissie lights while minding two mischievous grandsons! One (aged 4) is running around screaming blue murder because the lights are up, so why aren't they ON, while the other (3 soon - maybe) one's running around the house playing with every remote control he can lay his hands to and periodically speed dialling everyone on my telephone. And now, butter wouldn't melt in their mouths while they sleep peacefully. |
that was a spectacular and beautiful sunset
the roads are great fun... veeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy slippy not feelin great :( |
almost 12 hours of sleep
I got two beautiful pictures today!! |
