That was lovely Barb. I think it's so important that pics really capture the people they are of and what they are feeling. I did this couple's wedding too, and that was a wonderful..if terrifying..experience. Thank heavens they loved the pics..tricky if they hadn't!

I thought the pics that Anji and Michael had done were quite wonderful too. Awesome even!

I've got to do another wedding in June. Must start reading the 'how to' manuals again. It's always the lighting that's the tricky bit.

:-)

I did the photo's for a wedding in a castle, the lighting through the "windows" was awful, good job I'd made them have a dry run and showed them where they could and couldn't have photo's taken!!

I'll dig out the book I bought on photographing weddings and post title and author, worked a treat for me.

It's so STRESSFUL isn't it M?! I have nightmares about light when a wedding's in the offing. I won't get a chance to have a dry run for this one either. it's miles away. Send me that title purlease!:-)

You didn't like it that's fine, don't expect people to like it.
It would be a boring place if we all like the same thing.

Personally I like this Val Kilmer movie and he's gorgeous in it so there .

Seem to be buying alot of papers recently one way or another, last two weeks it was to get the DVD's from The Daily Mail, Saturday it was Daily Express as it had an artical on Agnetha and Anni-Frid from ABBA and yesterday was Sunday Mirror as it had a massive artical on Patrick Swayze and looks like I'll be getting The Daily Telegraph later as there is an artical about shows in the West End with a great pic of Michael and Leanne in Hairspray .

It's a bit crazy  I know but hey.
Going to get ready in a bit and start doing the things that need to be done, like I need to do some washing etc...

I'm glad I don't like the same things as you, otherwise I'd be worried.

Interesting Val Kilmer was nominated for a Razzie for worst actor for this film and has been nominated for a Razzie as worst supporting actor another 2 times.

I don't get how having someone "hot" in a movie makes it worth sitting through 2 hours of shite.

Dave,
When you have a good looking guy/girl depending on your sex to look at you tend to ignore all the crap bits as your caught up watching said person.
And Pud, I know what your trying to do and it won't work, been a solid fan of his for 18-years now so I think I'll still like him no matter what you say.
In my eyes he's still incredibly gorgeous, so there :hand::raspberry: !!

Er, no, might work for you but doesn't work for me. If the movie is too boring to keep my attention then no amount of eye candy will keep my eyes open.

 I'm with the other guys here.

A good actor in a leading role goes quite a way in persuading someone to watch the movie in the first place, but if the movie is crap, no eye candy is going to make the film any better.

Heli 26 Jan 2009 20:55

Val Kilmer is 90's hothttp://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...val_kilmer.jpg

But yeah hot guys getting half naked, fighting or just sweating makes any film worth watching......and it would be just the same for the guys if it was girls ;)

there are very few exceptions, I suppose it depends on moods...i mean i like watching switch off the brain action stuff, for exactly that reason it's a distraction and sometimes you'll watch films you know are probably going to be crap but you lose yourself in them.

Then there's other that you will just really want to see for the performances, actor, director, script etc.

You have no idea what I'm trying to do, because I'm not trying to do anything. I don't like like Val Kilmer and you've thrown your toys out of the cot, spat the dummy out and given the teddy a good beating.

It doesn't make the film any better no...it just makes it bearable. Though if it was merely on the TV, I wouldn't stay watching rubbish purely for 'eye candy'...but if I'd gone to the cinema with a friend, say...watching the 'eye candy' would give me something to do whilst waiting for it to finish.

Mum's taking the opportunity to go through the house and clear out stuff that if she tried to get rid of when Rhon was there he would make a fuss about it lol!! She's also having a good rest and sleeping more without the snoring!!

Yeah but if it's THERE surely it would be a waste not to look??

Wonder if Morrison's sells pockets for files... Might be easier to go into town *groan*. So annoying, decided to sort out my Val articals and have run out of pockets, that's typical .

Or as I have a day off tomorrow I will have more time to look around which seems like a better option. Finally got around to watching Spartan last night, I have had this in my possession now for awhile but haven't actually had a chance to watch it and I absolutely love it, Val is in pratically every single scene from start to finish .

I should get dressed... Then eat lol !

smaller. definately smaller.

a lot of chocolate confectionery seems smaller nowadays.

i'd give an example but the healthy part of my brain is blocking access to 'details of chocolate' at the moment.

Oh dear, oh dear....though you are right..a worse paid job is better than none. The economic climate here in the UK is horrible too. My husb is a solicitor and he had to wait for hours in court on monday because there were so many house re-possession hearings to be got through. It seemed ironic to me that the banks who got tied up with dodgy lending are now pulling the rug from under the feet of householders who can't pay their bills because of the results of all that dodgy lending...:(

Not nice!!

mszee 27 Jan 2009 19:43

I am sorry but I have to disagree with mortgage lending victims...I would never borrow money knowing I couldn't pay it back...I wouldn't buy 800,000 house when I make 50,000 a year...and that's what many people did...banks can fool you from here to there...but you have to have some understanding of what you're doing before doing it...

A lot of things happened...currency fell and prices went up...when currency is doing better...somehow prices stay the same high...gas was very high...so everybody jumped in with surcharges and charging for every suitcase and trip and nonsense like this...when gas goes down...these things will stay the same unless fought...so...yeah...although things will get better...for many they just won't...I am sorry for blubbling...I am a bit upset...

:-( & :-)

pay cut sucks...well done for looking for a bright side...which obviously is there in the benefit of some job (always better than no job) but pay cuts aren't ever easy to take regardless of what your circumstances are...I really hope it doesn't affect you & your family too greatly xx

Whoever didn't get a pay cut got fired...so...it's hard not to see THAT side...

Thank you for good wishes...I just want to go home right now...wish they did it at night or something...

I can understand that, they told us we wouldn't be getting a bonus for the last quarter and also no pay rise at all this year, after we were promised an increase for transferring to the claims department.

There is no talk about pay increase...pay cut put me far below the last pay increase I've had anyway almost 2 years ago...

belladonna-took 27 Jan 2009 22:34

All this reminds me of the time when husb and i couldn't pay the mortgage despite both working full time and having foreign students staying too. That was because mortgage interest rates doubled over night in 1992. I know the situation now is different and even more serious, but i'll never forget the fear that there was nothing we could do to avoid repossession.

mszee 27 Jan 2009 22:46

I wouldn't go for adjustable mortgage even back when...I was offered great deal and I took worse deal but fixed mortgage...

belladonna-took 27 Jan 2009 22:59

In those days we couldn't get a fixed rate mortgage. I got a 5 yr fixed one from about 2000 though....and neatly paid way over the odds for the entire term. sigh!

*sigh* it really isn't normal to have a cold/something similar four times in as many months is it?

My mother would tell you to drink lots of water and take vitamin C!

Hope you recover quickly and don't get any more for a long long while!

MissAsh 28 Jan 2009 15:24

Thanks Helen. I usually drink 1-2 litres of water a day and take echinacea/vitamin supplements but my immune system appears to be broken... Ah well, gives me an excuse to spend as much time as possible wrapped in my duvet recovering!

Thanks, Angela...

I am a realist though and expect it to get a whole lot worse before it gets better...

Definitely! And to get people to wait on you. And to eat chocolate (probably doesn't help in the slightest, just tastes good! ;))

mszee 28 Jan 2009 19:02

Well, just called our payroll into the processing company...they are telling me they have this pay cutting business from a lot of clients...on Monday this particular customer service person talked to somebody with 100 people pay cut...

We'll be taking on new staff in March if that's any help. Don't suppose it is since I live in Blackpool, sorry :/

MeatGrl1 28 Jan 2009 20:42

Watched an interview with Val last night for Felon which he also talked about several other films too and Heath Ledger but as much as I love this guy he was a bit of a goof telling everyone that he dies and so will not be in the sequal... Thanks babs, is there any need to watch this now  :bleh:  LMFAO !!

Am hungry. Need to sort out my room but I keep getting distracted though I have managed to change my bed clothes .

mszee 28 Jan 2009 21:05

Well, Val didn't really die...he has just pretended to die...so I think it's safe???
