Not to the extent that everyone claims they are and it really really really P****** me off when people claim they are. that and the old line abut degrees getting easier!! Bull!!!!! It depends. Usually the book wins, but some books are too long winded and a film suits the story better. Like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, I've sat through a 9 hour LOTR marathon and enjoyed every moment of it. But I just couldn't read the book of it.
